This is the confusion I get with timeline because there is no Participated. At the top of the page it seems to be longest and most recent going down as per attached



But then halfway through the scroll it changes to start ascending as per attached



This isnt something to 'get used to'.

Bringing back participated would solve it. I don't want to subscribe.

Im having trouble determining what posts i have read & what posts I haven't read! Blue dot needs to come back.

Also sometimes when i go to a post it takes me to the first page! not the last page of the post where i read it last.

I'm missing the old app.

Tried the location thing today, how safe is this? great idea, but means you can track anyone who has opted in.

I'm not opting in to the Locate option. Also the issue with the time register on the Timeline also occurs in the 'unread' option.

I am struggling to find threads I am interested in. There isnt enough 'definition' or demarcation between threads.

We are currently developing an app for our work. I know how expensive they are.

I'm really surprised none of these issues were detected earlier.

I was a beta tester so can confirm that there were definitely people who had used it before.

Why remove search function and PMs?

Also discovered both of these were missing today.

Also had a few threadlinks opening in the browser rather than the app.

No search function, no PM's.
I think the participated tab has been replaced by subscribe.
Lack of a search function is a serious drawback to someone who almost exclusively uses the App

Jokes aside the loss of participated threads is a huge one for me, I only ever use the app and since the new app rolled out I've honestly halved the amount of time I spend on here purely because it's now much harder to follow the conversations you are engaged with.

+100 for return of participated!

Yes it does. I did report the issues with PMs, searches and participated during testing.

For some reason the toft thread keeps going back to 28/3/15 even though I have read all posts.

I know it was decided not to align with tapatalk but I am using that with another forum. The forum has not switched on PM's but the interface is very easy.

Any chance?

I find that the Timeline and Unread lists can be quite twitchy, but also that threads don't always display the last read post.

Subscribed link can take forever to fire up. Agree with others that it's now difficult to work out what you have and haven't read.

Answer to the question, you can subscribe to a thread without participating, so no they are not the same thing.

It is similar to Facebook where you have the option to receive notifications from a post without having to post in it.
