Not entirely sure this was on the list of IT improvements we were screaming out for, but my QFF landing page has changed today:

They’ve been A/B testing this for a little while now:

I’m still on the old page (although can access the new design by accessing the new URL directly).

Thanks. I'm on the old too. Much nicer look.

The "new" site informs me that, as a QP member, I have "access to over 600 Qantas and Partner lounges worldwide".

I have my doubts, but of course there's no definitive list, you have to read through 6 different eligibility tables and then figure out if you need a QF marketed and operated flight for Partner lounges, and then check if a OneWorld marketed flight but non-QF operated will get you in blah blah. Then read the fine print to see if / how many guests you can invite and then the child policy.
I bought a 4 year membership back in 2021 during a promotion, but have only used it once as I'm now OWE, so not a great investment!

Why you just can't type in a destination airport and flight number then, given the system can see your FF status and/or OW status/QP membership, it informs you whether or not you are eligible to access particular lounges is beyond me.
Right now it's just a set of convoluted and seemingly malleable rules.
I get there's lounge dragon discretion and sometimes other limiting factors, hence "eligible" not "guaranteed".

  • select a destination/flight/class of travel, no need to book.
  • enter that info in an "Lounge Eligibility" page.
  • system checks out your flight number and benefits based on status, membership etc
  • system works out eligibility criteria, number of guests and the child rules
  • informs you of outcome for lounge(s) at destination, maybe even opening hours information (too much to ask?).
  • you print out the result(s) and take it with you on your travels.

Maybe ChatGPT will work it out one day.

The 600 figure comes from Oneworld - here is the list:

Yep, I'm aware of that, but it's not a definitive list of lounges which QP members have access to.
600 is the claim Qantas is making on their website.

The OneWorld website also states: Alaska Airlines, American Airlines and Qantas offer programmes enabling customers to pay to gain access to their lounges.
These programmes are not part of the oneworld agreement, and members of these programmes are not entitled to access lounges under the oneworld agreement.

Is QP membership considered "pay to gain access"? Again, ambiguous.

Yes. Comes with access to AA lounges.

BA used to be in the mix but long gone for QP. There are seperate threads but I’m not aware of a general QP lounge access thread.

I like the new landing page. Things organised quite well and they've managed to squeeze out some of the useless white space.

And also appreciate them just doing one page and see how that goes, rathe than a complete rehash which always goes badly.

I don't mind the new page with the "dashboard" style images.

However, its a bit depressing to instantly see how far away I am from the next status tier :) !

Can't see any difference in view I get.
Is it being rolled out progressively ?

I actually prefer the old layout. If you can access the new URL is there anyway of going in the reverse direction to the old page?
Cheers in advance for any help :]

Does anyone else with LTG have their LTG showing on this new page?
I'm seeing LTQP, but I never bought a LT QP membership.
I'm LTG + WP.

Just checked the Teen's account; it's showing LTS, but that's their only status.

It shows on the virtual card (in app).

That’s interesting. I was trying to remember if it used to show current LT status on the counter to next tier (pretty sure it used to).

Agree… the flight search bar takes up a bunch of room and makes it hard the see the info that is the whole reason for going to the my account page!

Some of the info is displayed better… but it’s further down the page.

Once it’s been enabled for you the old URL will just start redirecting to the new one so no way to reverse the direction of the change that I’ve been able to find 😕
