New partnership assistance required from AFF

Call me cynical, many do, but this offer seems like an excellent way for DJ to find out who is really posting stuff on AFF under the many and varied user names, and cross-check to DJ's records.

Status matching would have done that too. Is there any real value to DJ in knowing who is posting on here and under what name? (That's not rhetorical I don't honestly know.)

I'm very cynical too, and I do believe that DJ are handling the social media stuff very well.

Does the offer of free flights extend to those of us who are located in the UK? :)

Sure, you'll just have to make it to the nearest DJ port ;-)

Does that have to be a member that flies DJ? :p I'd love to be enticed, but am coming very much from the QF/JQ camp.
Also, it sounds like just a pre-launch lunch - very informational, there is no forum style interrogation of the AFF members selected right ? There would be many many more members with extreme knowledge of aviation and I would have no chance against that :(. All I have is great interest

No interrogration and no hidden agenda! (Can see the look of shock on some of your faces now!)

I think clifford should go ...

As much as we would love to have Clifford along as a thank you for providing such a great outlet such AFF, he, and the other mods are ineligible.

PM Sent! Right when Velocity Rewards replied here as well - allaying all my concerns

Getting very excited!

PM sent to Velocity Rewards, heres hoping ;)

I'd hope JB would be there, I'd shake that man's hand so hard

I was privileged enough to do just that in Singapore yesterday. It took most of the IATA AGM for me to track the Virgin team down but thank you to Virgin's PR team for organising a quick moment and to John himself for obliging this self confessed 'aviation tragic' with a photo. I think it helped that I mentioned I was a shareholder!

I shall also PM re the partnership assistance, even though I don't technically meet the relevant requirements. Good luck to all :)

Seriously, anyone posting on AFF with privacy concerns needs to reconsider why they are on here. Put to one side the paranoid android about Virgin Australia needing to use the forum to obtain personal information, come on. Think of every frequent flyer/hotel loyalty program etc that you are a member of, they all have heaps of info about you whether you've thought about it or not.

Virgin Australia giving us (whoever the lucky 5 are) this opportunity to attend such an event to this forum is to be applauded and thanked, not questioned for ulterior motives.

Thanks to all those who have sent through their messages, plus flowers, chocolates and other bribes that can't be mentioned in public.

We will take submissions right up to 9am tomorrow (Thursday) so don't be shy!

NOTE: No one has sent flowers, chocolates or other bribes! :p

If you'd like to move it to a weekend day, i'll be happy to submit an entry....:p

... afternoon, with my avatar to shower you with affection (my dog, that is) :p

I'd offer an afternoon of cuddles with my cat as a bribe, but that may result in Velocity Rewards revoking my Gold status... I love her to bits, but she ain't the prettiest pet ;)

:lol::lol::lol:

Oops! Someone has too many entries!!

Hehe. It's nice to know that even if I did attempt to enter (which I realised I can't because of lack of posts) I wouldn't be able to. Or something like that.

Anyway, good luck to the 5 winners, and please do report back to AFF on the experience!

I removed that post! (Issue is sorted).

Mal does the fact that you knew that Velocity Reward's PM box was full mean you were submitting an application?:p
I didn't know you had a VR account.

Cheers

My PM just worked. I'm as creative as a lump of wood. But thought I'd give it a shot regardless.
