This seems to be a widespread, common problem with the new booking tool.Va Bene said:it stated that QF29/30 for MEL/LHR LHR/MEL were in economy yet it was still quoting 512K points and $1,032 in taxes.
Of course for 160,000 AA miles you could go in First Class, but that is another story .Brettmcg said:192,000 points for MEL - LHR in Y+. Not bad, potentially a little on the steep side though?

All for the princely sum of 60K points & AUD151.13.
You are right. Unless this issue is fixed I can see some people getting caught out by not looking at the actual booking class for all flights. Could this be an intentional feature of the new award booking engine?Mal said:1. has issues with displaying split class options. Eg Was offering me F class on BNE-LAX-SFO (which I assume meant Y or J for BNE-LAX and F for LAX-SFO.
Deja vu! I think this was always the case. When I was planning a RTW in March I did not have enough FF points and could see the itinerary but not the taxes and charges until I had enough FF points in early April.Mal said:2. You can no longer seem to be able to 'get a quote' for taxes/charges etc. Any attempt to use more points than you have returns an error.
For an extensive period leading up to either early this year or late last year, you could get a Tax quote even if you had insufficient points to complete the booking.JohnK said:...
