New Qantas Lounge Heathrow Terminal 3

My understanding is that Qantas is completing their business lounge in LHR (Heathrow) Terminal 3 in March 2017.

Does this mean we can use the complimentary Qantas pass (ANZ) at the new Qantas operated lounge or is this just for First class/Business clients?

I don't think there is any update but even when they announce a date be prepared that it may slip.

I think I may give the CX FLounge a try (don't know how long I'll be able to keep WP up and it'll be good to make the most of it while I can) when I'm at LHR later this year.

Don't know to that detail. I got the impression they could access bookings, change seats, print BP's etc.

Well whatever the explanation it certainly shows that QANTAS recognises that the CX Lounge is a popular choice for F passengers and those with WP (or above) status.

Was there in January before a BA flight to Europe. Really great lounge, good food in the restaurant and some lovely staff. Popped into the BA lounge just before my flight and glad I didn't waste too much time there.

Well the QF lounge opening has been pushed back to September/October. I wasn't expecting it would be ready next month when I fly out of Heathrow but now I know for sure.

Will check it out in early Dec then but with the CX F lounge now open in T3 I have a very good alternative to BA F lounge which really is not up to par!

It won't be exclusive for F pax and WP and up. SG, QANTAS Club, those flying Business etc. will also have access. So WP might do better at a partner lounge. It remains to be seen. I'm sure some comparisons will be made and posted about here and elsewhere.

I know. It's like the Singapore lounge which I very much dislike. Agree. Will stick with CX first regardless.

I will pop my head in when I am there in March. But if it is a combined lounge I won't be staying long.

I was in both HKG and SIN last week and didn't bother with the QF offerings.
