screams LCC?? are you serious? they look anything but!

Yes!!!! dead serious, I don't waste my time on this forum writing for the sake of writing as many others here. Personally I hate the red and pink scarf combo... maybe when I see it in person
I might change my opinion... but for the moment, I stand my ground :)

I have very little interest in these sorts of things, but yesterday overheard a couple of fashionistas getting stuck into a page of the current Australian Way... something along the lines of "If that's the best photo they can take of that, they're in trouble".

In the photo posted above it looks pretty ordinary to me - I hope it looks better in person. When they were first launched I thought they looked ok but not spectacular at the launch - trench coat excepted.

JQ desperately needs an overall (they look a notch above tiger who barely seem to have a uniform) and VA will be looking at theirs I suppose in a few years.

Looks like I might be wearing a JQsque uniform when I return to my place of my employment when I return from long service leave overseaa at the start of March.

Not looking forward to looking pretty much the same as station staff.

Wearability trials have been awful but it will happen - it's a matter of time sadly.

Sort of agree with you on the scarf idea, that could be better done.

Look it does not matter what Qantas does they are guaranteed to cop a bashing on aff.

I like the new design and im sure not all staff will wear it skin tight. The current uniform is also quite figure hugging imo.

I actually prefer the current lady's uniform to the new one, but I think the newer man's suit is an improvement.

I love the pink/red combo and both colours look great with French Navy. I think maybe it doesn't photograph well but looks better irl. Hopefully the sizing will be good for larger ladies but the colours are in the right place for distraction. But they aren't cool colours for summer heat.

I wouldn't have liked wearing the existing uniform if the fabric was synthetic. Synthetic fabrics don't breathe enough for me.

My Q FA friends say they are are a tight fit (have seen and they are), not good for bending, have to be dry cleaned which will be inconvenient.

That probably isn't a good thing then. I can imagine the dry cleaning being necessary as regular washing for French Navy will eventually fade the colour.

I disliked the one it's replacing when that first came out - over the decade I became used to it.

This one is far simpler and required no adjustment on my behalf.

Of course, it could be worse:

I have seen the current uniform worn under stress many time - often seeming a little too tight - I was not aware that fabric was flexible as is implied here.

We should reserve final judgement until we see it in person, but it doesn't look impressive.

This is far classier (although designed for a tropical climate which in fairness is not true of all destinations to which QF flies, so perhaps it's a bit casual or lightweight for Australian flying conditions):

That screams LCC without a doubt - practical yes, classy most definitely not.
