New Westpac Amex and credit checks

I received an invitation to the new Westpac Amex card. Just wondering on others experience thus far, in particular if Amex/Westpac performed a credit check for those that have applied.

Found the conversion to the AMEX offer pretty easy and approval within 5 mins, even though I'm self employed. Did only apply for a $15,000 limit because I wasn't reducing the existing Westpac limit. Note they offered me a $35,000 limit.. Since joining a month ago I've spent the $3000 to gain 40,000 points and had a couple of small offers taken up.. No issues!
