Friday Night Chardonnay Series:
Very luscious, if not unctuous wine. Bit too much oak for stand alone but nice with food. Lemon, white peach, butter... Maybe needs mor years.

Okay, we decided to open this one instead of the Rockfords. Wow, it is spectacular - I smelt talcum powder and vanilla at first, very smooth and modest tannins. A bit peppery after the first mouthful. Apparently this is all the rage in Sydney at the moment
The The Paringa Pinot is the best of the lot. Shiraz from MP didn't do much for me either but the Pinot is fab. Chardonnay seems a bit variable...Snap!! We had a Paringa Estate Shiraz with lunch yesterday... certainly luscious also but no real Shiraz character...

Yeah.. We knew the pinot was good that's why we chose the shiraz.. The "haven't been to the restaurant before and we need to choose a wine that suits everyone and safest to pick the most expensive" moment

What is the St Hallett? Can't read the box.
Excellent but don't leave it much longer. Curly Flat Pinot and Chardonnay are our 'house wines'. Several cases a year meet their fate over hear.an '08 Curly Flat Pinot awaits its destiny with the angels.
Oops, the new format isn't loading the photo properly ". ". ". - oh no, the night is getting ugly
