Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

We are currently in Fernie BC, Canada “enjoying” -33 temps! Some bottles from our sojourn…

All these are BC wines mostly from the Okanagan Valley. The ice wine was beautiful and the others were ok with the Frind “The Premier” being somewhat of a standout. Prices are reasonable other than for the ice wines but Canada’s liquor laws are pretty weird.

Well I never... bought this in a strange mixed lot of what I thought would be over the hill Clarendon Hills stuff on getwinesdirect. It turns out to be excellent and still has plenty in it.

besides the ever-reliable Pig Face and new-vintage Brookland Valley (currently 20% off @ Cellar One), first-time 2020 quaffers - good time to try/buy Amen Break with 20% off @ Prince Wine Store :)

2015.jpg
2015 pinot noirs, including one of my all-time favourite wines, Gembrook Hill - plus perhaps my first untasted direct case buy, 2017 Vanguardist Grenache (looking forward to the GW97 2022)

2006 Charles Heidsieck much better than 2005 same time last year - both pinots similarly good, but distinctively different - half-bottled Suduirant simply delectable
