Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

I'm actually surprised they make that much 707. They make oceans of Grange.
They are a bit coy on volume, but said they make up to 10,000 cases of Grange a year. She compared to first growth Bordeaux which she suggested are over 30,000 cases a year. No idea if this is accurate.

She did confirm that volumes do fluctuate depending on the season.

10,000 cases at say $500 per bottle wholesale is $60m of sales per year, just from Grange!

How was the Savaterre (if you can remember after all those!)?

Haha, thankfully it was early in the lineup. It was probably my WOTN, next to the Rieussec. I've always been a huge fan of their chardonnay and the PN did not disappoint. It'd be a great one to lay down and revisit in years to come.

Lovely. I bought a 12 case of the 77 port when it as released, unfortunately now all gone! :(

The cork had seen better days, but a bit of cheese cloth sorted it out. A lovely way to end the day!

The Quintarelli rounded out the night after dinner on Friday night at City Cellar in Subiaco. It really is a fantastic wine bar with an excellent selection.

The old Bin 28 just round out the weekend tonight. My last 750ml but do have a magnum. The fruit has faded fast on this. On the downward slide now but still very enjoyable. Will need to consume that magnum sooner rather than later.
