Nightmares at LHR

Checked in last Wednesday LHR Terminal 3.
3 hours to check in (with priority check in) and get through security.
I arrived at terminal 4 1/2 hours before flight. Airport authorities are requesting that travellers only arrive 3 hours before flight.

Oh dear.
On my way to LHR T3 to checkin for QF2 (hopping naively I can drop my bags at QF10 midday flight, but expecting to be refused this). Any tips?

QF2 check in opened just a few minutes after arriving in terminal and joining queue.

Yea I was turned away at QF10 counter, told I should ba able to checkin around 2:30 pm, a supervisor should be around at that time, even though the counter opens at 4/4:30. Finger crossed this is true.

Heathrow has announced that the passenger cap is being extended to 29th October.

I could check in at 3:15 pm for QF2. Maybe a favour for WP/J traveler, as the desk was not yet officially open.
Security fast track open, I had to queue... the length was 1 person in front. Pretty happy to have some lounge time after an early flight yo Stnsted with transfer to lhr

You can check in super early if no bags to check.

Ah yea I had some bags unfortunatly. The guy told me there is no way he can take our bag, system won t allow, heathrow etc... I think he was genuime. His advice to come back around 3pm to get the staff to check us earlier than normall desk opening worked well.

Arrived at T3 at 6.30 am Friday on JAL. Plane to kerbside in 30 mins. Departing T5 2pm Weds….hope it’s as smooth!

I just arrived at LHR on JAL into T3 today. Landed at 6:20am and was through to T5, went landslide and back through First Wing for our flight to EDI and was having a full English with a glass of bubbles by 6:45. No issues at all.

The F check-in area, Fastrack and direct lounge entry is fabulous!

Was there no airside transfer T3->T5?

To clarify we went airside transfer bus from T3 toT5 then went to Immigration at T5 and across the border at T5 rather than through connections at T5. Then got the lift up to departures and through First Wing into the lounge

Yeah, i knew it was there all along dopey is what i wanted to say (i had verified previously my bag was actually on my flight).

Now lets see how long they take to get it back here to OZ.

It was chaos last night in London trying to get home from the theatre. The tube lines to Wimbledon and Richmond were cancelled and the buses were so full they werent letting anyone else on and there was about 20 people at most stops. I got as far as I could then caught a black cab who had to the put the address into gps and still missed my street. No tip
