What will they fly to JNB? I fly that route regularly and I don't want it scrapped or have F dropped from it. That flight always has a good vibe everyone is jovial quite often

It has to be a quad and I doubt it will be an A380. TG have some A340-500s up for sale, but I doubt it will be them either.

I use a Resmed sleep machine and the hatch on the left is the perfect spot to run it either on batteries or power. I sleep so much better when my snoring doesn't wake me and the other F passengers.

Ditto. Upstairs is available too

VH-OJU has been at Avalon since May 8 being refurbished.
Must be just about ready to resume service.

OJU came back from AVV yesterday, the first non ER refurb.

I'm with Zachary.August. The JNB F trip is an absolute pleasure. It's day time, so you can enjoy the experience and there always seems to be a particularly nice atmosphere in F. The old config, being more open, is more attuned to a bit of banter between pax than the more private suite format. I've only ever experienced amazing crews on those flights.
I've another one coming up in August, so fingers crossed Qantas elect to save some cash on refurb and leave JNB alone.

I think this thread is WRONG.

QF11 SYD-LAX is operating on 12 October with a 747.... and it has F!

Whats wrong, no one is saying F does not exist, just that is now no longer on any of the ER 747s!

You have forgotten about the RR powered 747's.

So the title is still correct, as all of the 747ER's have been refurbed with the F-Cabin removed.

*You are quick Markis!

There are still some non -ER 744 flying around with 4 classes.

The ER's are mainly used for MEL/LAX, SYD/DFW and South American Flights.

I thought MEL/LAX was now 100% A380, with no QF 747's in Melbourne at all now.
