Exactly what I want to know! I guess we'll know after April. Plans of airport look like no airside though
The information won't get published until 8 April, however, from what I can see so far, it's unlikely you will be able to access T2.

From what I read there certainly will be no airside access to T2 if departing T3.

Even now, those using Jetstar Japan have no access to the QP at T2 due to the GK flights departing from the T2 domestic section.

Exactly.
T2 & T3 will not be connected airside...... It was obvious from when I was at NRT last week.

Re: No more access for Jetstar business customers to Qantas business lounges??

If this change goes ahead I can't see myself ever booking on JQ again. They've lost the plot if true.
I think the plot was missing from the beginning. But anyway this wouldn't surprise me.

But it would seem that the reported issue only involves lounge access at NRT - bit hard to state an airline has lost the plot if one has never flown it before (and yes john I have flown JQ a number of times and have lived to tell the tale)!

Which is unlike T2 and T1?

I suppose that with T3 being used only by LCCs, the need for an international to international transfer is considered to be a passenger problem, not an airline or airport one. So there's no need to provide an easier (airside) solution.

Re: No more access for Jetstar business customers to Qantas business lounges??

Ta.

Doesn't the MEL lounge stay open for the EK flight to KUL at 2 am?

The Qantas web site shows the MEL business lounge closes at 22.45 hrs. That's an hour prior to the departure of JQ23, so bad luck for those business max customers.

There is an airside bus for T1/T2 transfers: Airport Guide : Connections between international flights -Arrive in Terminal 2- | NARITA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT OFFICIAL WEBSITE

You are correct - there's none currently for T3: Airport Guide : Connections between international flights -Arrive in Terminal 3- | NARITA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT OFFICIAL WEBSITE

They'll probably miss 30 minutes between closing and boarding.

Re: No more access for Jetstar business customers to Qantas business lounges??

After speaking with Jetstar tonight re this, who I must admit were great in trying to find a solution, there is none.
Existing Business Max fare customers are being offered a refund for the bundle (up to $200) however there is a massive catch.
If you accept the refund, you WILL NOT EARN QFF points or status credits as effectively you have accepted a refund for the business max add on.

Although for those who are QF SG or above, it would be hard to argue any sort of compensation, as you would already have access to the lounge with or without the bundle if a QF lounge was available. In effect, you would have paid the $200 just for the points and status (and whatever else the bundle offers).

Anyway, went past the QF NRT lounge this morning, it still lists the same opening hours of 8.30am - 9:30pm. And they still had the Jetstar sign as well...

Re: No more access for Jetstar business customers to Qantas business lounges??

Thanks for this info. SBonline. I was wondering if there might be a catch. Thing is when I spoke to the operator about points/credits reductions I'm almost certain she said no such thing. Only gave a reduced points & credits quote depending on whether I opted for a full or partial refund! She went into her spiel & immediately asked which refund I wanted. I didn't opt for either & I'm now very glad. This infrequent frequent flyer had planned for & particularly wants those credits to bump me up a level.

Hi phill84,

It may be related to the new terminal in Narita airport. They opened T3 in Narita on early April, it is dedicated to LCC. It is wholly coughpy terminal where express train and bus services terminate at T2 and you need to make yourself move from T2 to T3 on foot or 30 minutes journey shuttle bus service. All LCC travellers are racing between T2 and T3 with their baggages in 36 celsius sticky summer, there is no automated concorse, no airconditioned until you successfully reach to terminals.
Apparently Narita airport has been losing majour normal carrier services since Haneda airport commenced their operation, Narita is trying to survive with LCC...In stead of airline lounges, there is a massive food court in T3. It is depressing view to see millions of people are queing everywhere, food court, shops and check-in counter.

Yes, I can confirm that's the case... T3 in Narita and Jetstar is there. So you can no longer use Qantas lounge in Narita if use Jetstar as they are in separate terminals.

Sounds like an improvement of the previous arrangements for GK at NRT - last time I flew domestic they just had the bus gates with 1 shop like the Tiger T4 terminal at MEL

That shouldn't be the case. One of the requirements to use a long haul HND slot is to retain service to NRT as well.
