No more Wunala Dreaming after an overseas maint stint!

That's a shame.

Hope they put it on to an A380.

I am probably in the minority, but I hated the paint job. Qantas planes shoud be white with an orange tail (er sorry, a red tail)

Seriously, the money they spend on these different paint jobs shluld be spent on upgrading service to all customers, or rewarding their loyal employee's the ones that make or break the travelling experience, not the "Ivory Tower" types.

I have one word to say - :(

I've always loved the "flying art" as QF puts it...
I finally got to go on Yananyi Dreaming the other week, and I had always hoped to fly on Wunala Dreaming...

I flew on Wunala dreaming on my last trip to the US. The inside needs some love but the outside was awesome.

The paint job will be missed. Mrs NM and I have fond memories of VH-OJB for a special FF award redemption trip for our 10th wedding anniversary, on the upper deck MEL-LHR on our way to KBP. Every time I see Wunala Dreaming I am reminded of that special trip.

That was Wunala Rev 1.0 which reverted to normal scheme in March 2003, oddly enough after losing the paint job in 2003 she also changed from City of Sydney to City of Mt Isa, the current Wunala (2.0) was delivered as VH-OEJ in Aug 03.

Indeed. I have been on OJB several times since she reverted to the standard white/red scheme. I hope there is a v3.0 sometime, but I suspect it's probably done its dash now.

I think there will be another, it does not make sense to strip it given the life of the ER is hardly over!

I couldn't agree more. That paint job looked very odd.

Yes, it's probably just me. Art on a plane :?: :?:

It's "in the eye of the beholder", isn't it?

I think Nalanji Dreaming looked better than Wunala Dreaming, but have only ever flown on Yananyi Dreaming. Several times in fact.

I'd love to see all 3 remain (when did they stop using Nalanji?), but not sure how it'd look on an A380 despite the above visualisation looking very nice.

Mark, I was on the Qantas source yesterday reading that too!

AFAIK, Nalanji is sitting at AVV looking sorry for herself.

Back when the 743's were in the later days, there seemed to be a lot of gossip about when EBU would return to service.

Could not agree more and always was annoyed when this ugly duckling was waiting on the gate for one of my flights usually on the SYD-DFW route... Again! :o

But of course, tastes are different!

I will miss flying on Wunala Dreaming in first class on a business class ticket to Buenos Aires... :(

The <insert what you think of him here> at the top realised that these special schemes caused increased fuel burn so it had to go. So much for creating something for people to identify with.

There were repeated threads on airliners.net tracking the whereabouts of the Peter Max 777
