As for getting to SYD and back home again, I will be on:

• QF560 - CBR-SYD - 6:45am, arr 7:40am
• QF883 - SYD-CBR - 7:50pm, arr 8:45pm

I've decided to go up the day before because I really don't want to get a 6:45am flight on the Sunday (I am not a morning person by any stretch of the imagination)

So I will now take QF704 leaving ~0950 on the 13th. Flight back is still the same.

Hvr, I did say I was going to guest you into the J lounge in CBR but I believe you mentioned that you should be WP by then anyway? Apologies if not.

@Harvyk, did you manage to convince Mrs Harvyk?

A medical condition wont allow me to go... being dead is quite a serious medical condition and that's what I will be if I go away for the weekend quite soon after returning from Vietnam. Mrs munitalP has spoken, I have listened... !

For those flying or coming in from out of town, the timetable submitted is;

Sydney Terminal depart 10.01am
Padstow pick up 10.33am
Thirlmere arrive 12.15pm
Thirlmere depart 3.00pm
Padstow drop off 4.29pm
Sydney Terminal arrive 5.01pm

It could change but probably only by a few minutes either way, I'll post here when confirmed. Keep in mind the return time is only as good as the fireman shovelling the coal so would be wise to allow some padding if you're going direct to the airport afterwards.

Am glad you're coming. The flight up is when I expect to actually make WP, so it will be my last time in the regular QP for awhile if all goes well.

For those of us in MEL taking JQ36 on the monday morning, bad news i'm afraid...

Hot off the email I present to you...

Jetstar is sorry to inform you that since you made your booking, your flight schedule has been changed. We understand it can be frustrating when plans change, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. While we try to avoid any changes to our timetable, in this instance it was unavoidable. The change to the schedule has been made so we can maximise our aircraft utilisation and continue to offer you everyday low fares.

And of course, a check reveals that JQ36 is gone byebyes now. I was moved to JQ504 departing at 0840. I know one other person was similarly moved.

Are others who were F-Lounging it up in MEL moving to this flight? I guess the chance of JQ issuing a refund are zero based on the fact they can get me to SYD at a similar time, although the 0840 departure is not particularly pleasant, given the 0900 JQ36 was already too early IMHO
