Hadn't looked at CI at all actually, thank you will check them out, how do they fare compared to the main players?

I rate them although some others might not.
Very comfy seat and got plenty of sleep on the times we have flown overnight. I’ve always found the food decent without being outstanding and staff whilst friendly do lack some polish but I’ve always had good flights with them.

Indeed, much appreciated, i think i have a solution but couldnt book online, QFF help could book first part but not second, I ended up booking first part I dont want with second part they couldnt get. trying to get them to change my first part for theirs now but saying it hasnt been released yet from when they first held it. arghhhhhh. hopefully no-one snatches it after its released

so call this morning as there has been no email - "oh they wouldnt have put that through to ticketing you will have to start again"

- speak to that person for 40 mins - "repricing ticket" --- drops out no call back

- call back half hour later - go through same conversation - "those flights are not showing for me at all - these can change within a second"

so either a flight nearly a year from now to taiwan sold out in every class in the space of half an hour this morning, or she had no idea what she was talking about.

Great to see you managed to find an award ticket at a reasonable price from Europe to Australia, and the itinerary looks killer with EK F to TPE then CI J down to SYD!

Managed to snag award flights with CX LHR - HKG F then HKG - BNE J for Nov 2023. Cost was around AUD$2k for 2 PAX + 450,000 points. Quite a bit of availability in J & F for this period.

Yeh I've been checking daily myself and these have only just started showing up.

Interesting though...if you search LHR - BNE then you only get Y options, but if you search LHR-HKG and then HKG-BNE it gives you F & J options.

i've considered a few days in Paris and leaving via CDG but getting out of europe isnt an issue its when I get to asia and finding a way back into AU on something other than economy.

Yea mate as I said getting out of the UK / EU is fine, its the second part of getting back to AU where the wheels come off

However, no one suggested EK to Auckland then a short shuttle back to sydney.
from memory, it’s the same points spend as direct ....
