Oman Air seats now showing up as QF Classic Rewards

Were you able to select your QF-WY seats on MH? I just get an error and can't select. Qantas told me to call Oman Air but they only have an overseas number and they aren't replying to emails. Malaysian Airlines told me you can't select seats for Oman Air on their website?
Hope you get it sorted.
I love the WY J product and find it one of the best I’ve been on but their call centre is absolutely horrendous

QF seats I chose on QF website, WY seats I chose on MH. I could only do it on desktop browser, not mobile.

Thank goodness for this thread ! What a rollercoaster of emotions I’ve been through with a WY redemption

SEATS.AERO shows me that there is a WY J classic rewards flight KUL-LHR available on exactly the date I want.

But, Qantas shows no WY J availability on that date (or the other dates that seats.aero shows)

Subsequently, somewhere along the way when trying different dates on QF.COM, I toggle between “show rewards” to “All flights” and back to “show rewards” - and, amazingly, the WY J flights are now available (Mac/Safari)

My first thought is that “it’s a trap” - definitely a ghost flight. Boo !

Anyway I book it, despite my rotten experience getting ghost flight bookings refunded in a timely manner by QF.

Booking goes smoothly, QF gives PNR and amex app pops up charge notification.

Check later, nothing in QF MMB.

Found this AFF thread and saw the use MH MMB advice and was then able to see the booking including eticket number and select my seats.

Today (2 days later) booking appears in QF MMB (with correct seats) and charge hits amex card.

Again with advice from this thread found the WY PNR on the MH mobile browser and can now see a “confirmed” booking in WY MMB.

Just finished updating QF APIS on the QF MMB booking (I never knew that was a thing that you had to do)

The only thing I’m missing (importantly) is the actual confirmation email from QFF so I’ll hit up [email protected] to request that now. fingers crossed.

Try RJ MMB using your Qantas booking reference. Desktop browser.
Thanks, tried this on RJ and can at least select seats on the Seat Map, however they only show Exit Row and last row in economy as available - we are a family of 5 wanting to seat together if possible. I have selected husband and teenage son to have the 2 exit row seats and me and my daughters in the back row of economy so at least our kids will have adults with them. This is for October next year so hard to believe that every seat bar Exit row and back row is already selected - did you have more of a selection available when you selected your seats? Seems bizarre that people are having to go to another airline's website to do seat selection!
Update - Error on seat selection so our selection wasn't accepted :-(
Have tried just selecting all the back seats and no exit row seats and still getting below errors
  • Your service selection contains unavailable service(s). (119225)
  • At least one of your specific seat requests could not be processed. (4631 - 68202)

Sorry,
we seemed to able to select any seat in J we required- no idea about Y, and why you are having problems.
Expert Flyer shows seating if you have access to that- our seats show as booked in that.
Having said all of that, you really should be able to select on the WY site when you have your WY booking reference.
I think you are going to have to phone them- use Skype or similar, to keep costs down.
