Agreed. My calls tend to run with me saying "I would like to amend a One World Award. I would like to delete two flights and add three flights". The agent then asks me which flights and tells me if he or she runs into a problem - in which case we work together to find an alternative. The more I can be clear about what I want - flight numbers, dates, times, routes, ICAO phonetic alphabet - the smoother the process seems to be. I have never had an agent refuse to book me on my preferred flight except where there was phantom availability or (once) where I had asked for one half of a married sector.
I have six flights set up with RJ ( and there have been plenty of Covid related changes ) and have always found that if RJ seat allocation is down, selection can be done via Royal Air Maroc.Don't know if it's only a temporary hitch or not, but seat selection at rj.com is not available ATM.

Can't select seats for the AY flight I wanted there either. Will try again in a couple of daysI have six flights set up with RJ ( and there have been plenty of Covid related changes ) and have always found that if RJ seat allocation is down, selection can be done via Royal Air Maroc.
Yeah had that twice, haha*... puts me on hold while they 'review my booking', and never come back until it goes to the dreaded survey.
This.I just double checked my e-ticket from Qantas and realised there’s no ticket number, however when I request the ticket from Finnair it does have a ticket number that matches the one e-mailed to me by the agent in text format.
AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements
but when I force MMB to email me the pretty PDF-based Itinerary, it doesn’t contain the ticket numbers.
That button will send the latest e-ticket that was issued. Just may not be the one that we are after.I wasnt aware you could do this, just went into MMB and asked it to email me.
The ticket it sends is the one from before my last chnage, it doesnt have the two extra flighst on it, so doesnt match what I see when I go into My Bookings.
Should of known I was being lied to.
Time to call again, grrr.

Sorry if I’m missing something, just trying to be helpful - for my Finnair seats I just choose them on the Finnair website using the same booking reference and it works fine, if you’d rather do that. The seat map on the Finnair website is more descriptive too. Can't select seats for the AY flight I wanted there either. Will try again in a couple of days

Just for clarification, it sends the most recently issued e-ticket. Not the original, unless only one e-ticket has been issued. This is my experience… MMB seems to send me the original ticket PDF, not the one that might have been updated. Maybe it takes time to update? Dunno, but i’m not too fussed as I can cross-reference through other sources.
I have absolutely no idea if we should be worried. I’ve checked on Malaysian, Royal Jordanian and Finnair - all show the ticket number I was emailed in text.This.
I have exactly the same issue.
I have the ugly Text-based email, which includes the 081- ticket numbers, but when I force MMB to email me the pretty PDF-based Itinerary, it doesn’t contain the ticket numbers.
When I go to the various carrier site, I can select seats, and they show the right ticket numbers.
Should I be worried?
A pdf e-ticket is less useful than you might think. It just shows a booking at a moment in time when it was generated. It could have been amended or cancelled at any point since. What matters is the six letter Amadeus code and the ticketed booking that sits underneath it. This can be accessed on Check My Trip and this is what agents will be interested in when you travel.Ive done 3 changes to this OWA, i have pdf e-tckets for the original and the second change, but not for the the latest change which was made 2 weeks ago.
I never got a new PDF ricket emailed, just a screen scrape from the person who reinstated my booking (after they cancelled it for not processing the taxes in time, and after I made them take the points that they had returned back out of my account). That text version they sent me had a newer ticket number, but when I ask MMB to send me my ticket, it keeps sending the 2nd (now outdated) version which is missing 2 legs.
I want a legit PDF e-ticket so if there are any issues on the trip I have evidence, not a text whoich anyone could have mocked up.
On phone now, been put on hold while they speak to ticketing, they swear it has been ticketd, but if it has why does MMB show this version?
its so frustrating that you cant get issued with correct paperwork.
** Still on hold but they have emailed itinerary - but that itinerary does not have a ticket number (worse than last time when the text version at least had a ticket number)
100% this has been my experience. It sends the most recently issued e-ticket. Not the original, unless only one e-ticket has been issued.
If a revised e-ticket takes two weeks to be issued, then you still get the previous one until then, through MMB.

Try Malaysian or RJ, it has your ticket numbers next to passenger details.I just checked on BA website and my extra flights show up there which is something.
