All good thanks for having a look!!Squid01, working on the assumption that award availability is likely to be poor only 2 months out from your departure date, I would focus on less popular routes from KUL to DOH. Maybe look at KUL - DAC - DOH or something similar and be prepared to maybe accept Y seats on a short haul flight.
Sorry, that's all I got.
Yes, I guess the "greater good" option is the best one. Can't see any chance of re-ticketing not being requiredGuess I will just get them to drop that flight, suppose then they need to reticket the whole intinery then?
Agree. This was my initial thought… do it as a surface sector (own arrangements). Dunno if Malindo is still offering competitively-priced business class fares? They used to have a lounge at KUL. If not, i imagine there will be some fairly cheap paid lounge options at KUL.All good thanks for having a look!!
Think we will just have to make our own way from KUL to HKT on a revenue fare with Malindo. This means an 8hr stop over in HKT instead of a 10hr one, no through checked bags, no lounge at KUL, must clear immigration at KUL. A fair few minor inconveniences stacking up with this but at least we can retain the overall route from ADL>LHR. Don't want to lose those J seats on QR from HKT to LHR.

Would just do economy on such a short flight. And funnily enough Malindo just this afternoon changed the daily schedule of that flight from 12pm departure to 12:20pm departure which is annoying as means more time mulling about at KLIA and less time in coughet on a long layover which we were using to have a meal/swim/massage before boarding at 9:10pm.Agree. If you drop the flight they will need to re ticket.
I've just cancelled my 2nd OWA for 2022 today.
I had a mixture of:
Too many schedule changes requiring calls/re-ticketing, all too hard, don't need the stress. I guess this is our new normal.
- QF J twice including my first visit to SYD First lounge
- QR F twice was looking forward to trying A380 F for the first time, along with Al Safwa. (anyone monitoring rewards for SYD-DOH in F, my flight was Sept 6th..)
- BA J - new 777 suites first time in BA First lounge
- MH J back to Melbourne
Is the requested flight showing in MMB and CMT as on request or pending? If not I would call back to check there is something on the system. I had a request to open a revenue seat with AA put in back in May. I was told it will take 24-48 hours, when that passed 3-5 days and when that passed 3-5 business days. It took a week. It was eventually declined as it was due to a QF cancellation not an AA one.Just got off the phone with QF, South Africa call center. The operator actually seemed very professional and knowledgeable which was surprising. Trying to get AA to release a business seat on a MIA>BOG flight as they cancelled the one I was booked on, and the alternative flight they suggested the timing didn't work for me.
She said she will get back to me in a day or two when AA have responded. Does this sound abouts right?
Keep monitoring MMB. Something similar happened with me, due to a QF ‘glitch’. An AA flight disappeared from the itinerary with no advice from QF. 24 hours after the QF request to re-instate, the flight reappeared although no-one ever got back to me, as promised,She said she will get back to me in a day or two when AA have responded. Does this sound abouts right?
How many days in advance do Qantas release seats in j to bronze ?What status level are you? Unless you are SG or WP you won't be able to see J seats on QF fights for June 23 for a few weeks yet and none of the sites will show availability until they are released to all and sundry.

Thanks in advance.
How many days in advance do Qantas release seats in j to bronze ?
Just to clarify… I think I’m right in saying that on day 297 QF aren’t going to “release seats” to Bronze members; at that point they just allow us access to whatever is left after the higher status members have taken the most desirable seats...
Three years ago, it was easy to answer that question but I wouldn’t be confident that there’s any certainty now. In any case, the release dates shown on the QF website are just ‘from’ dates. The actual release dates may be much later. Just something to be aware of.How many days in advance do Qantas release seats in j to bronze ?
AA premium cabins can be very hard to find at the moment for long haul. JAL is an excellent choice, lots of routes on them to SFO, LAX, SAN, etc.Potential too for cathay to come back on line not too far from now, opening up more flights. Keep an eye out and book quickly if they release seats.Hi all,
working through planning an OWA trip next year from March to September next year, however one leg of my journey (specifically south east asia to america) is very difficult to find availability. Currently only have JAL in J class from BKK to LAX, which book out very far in advance.
Any other less popular routes that would be able to get us from Asia to America? For some reason unable to search any american airlines routes, so my airlines options have only been limited to JAL... Not sure why that's the case.
Thanks in advance!
Have you looked at going the long way? Eg. BKK/KUL/HKG->DOH->JFK/MIA/ORD etc?Any other less popular routes that would be able to get us from Asia to America?
I have tried those routes, but the itinerary seems to be coming up with an error. I think that journey takes the total journey over 35k miles, which is a bummer!! Appreciate the suggestion though!Have you looked at going the long way? Eg. BKK/KUL/HKG->DOH->JFK/MIA/ORD etc?
What's the latest on cathay pacific? Haven't actually seen any flights through hong kong in my searches for next year!AA premium cabins can be very hard to find at the moment for long haul.
