Are Surface Segments counted as Sectors ?
Also, if the surface segment is not available as a direct OW flight, is the distance of the 2 sectors counted ?

I have assumed, but not 100% sure, that the surface segment counts as one of the 16 permitted sectors. The distance will be calculated based on point to point, not on potential OW connecting flights.

You can definitely do 1+1, and I'm 99% certain you can do 1+2 as well.

Yes, I have done 2 transfers AND 1 stopover in the same city in the same OWCA Itinerary.

Yes, I have done 2 transfers AND 1 stopover in the same city in the same OWCA Itinerary.

So with my upcoming trip, I've done a number of changes since the initial booking - have changed class of travel and dates etc.

To get there though, there was more than 100 phone calls made, as 90% of the consultants I encountered were unable to see what I could see online (reward seats that were showing online). This then forced me to HUACA until I got a consultant that could see the reward seats and make the changes.

The latest change(s) which I've done is as per below:
1. Changed the class and date for the final leg of my trip - which included upgrading the Economy leg to Business and moved it to a day later

The points charged prior to the above change was 326,200pts, then with the change of seats it was re-calculated to 373,100pts (an increase of 46,900pts due to Economy > Business)

I then did another change afterwards after working out why it wasn't being capped under the OWA Business 318k cap :
2. Removed the ineligible OWA leg, the points then re-calculated down to 318,000pts

So far, I've not been charged the additional 46,900pts for the first change, but the below has been done (for the 2nd change):

326,200pts refunded
318,000pts charged

No change fee has come up in the points log as of yet, nor the 373,100pts.

On both occasions though, each itinerary was re-ticketed soon after the phone call(s).

I contacted the [email protected] email to explain the situation in detail and surprisingly got a quick response from them.

They've stated that due to some of my flights being with partner airlines, they had prioritized re-ticketing my itinerary (due to the known issues of not re-ticketing in time), even despite no points being deducted and that due to this, the deduction of points is delayed.

As of today (4 weeks later), I've still not been deducted the points that I expected to be - but I guess if / once they do, it'll be the 373,100pts plus the change fees.

As per another poster, I'm not posting about Qantas missing / undercharging, it's moreso that I don't want any issues when it comes time to travel. Everything is ticketed though and e-ticket numbers are showing on the Royal Jordanian website.

Long story short / TL;DR:
Original itinerary - 326,200pts
1st change (Economy to Business and date change) - 373,100pts
2nd change (removing the ineligible for a capped OWA) - 318,000pts

The 2nd change has been processed, but not the 1st change - all e-ticketed though.

Unless I’m not correctly understanding your story, it seems to me that you’ve ended up with all the changes you want, fully ticketed, with the correct 318k points used.
The only step you can’t see is the 373k deduction & subsequent reimbursement - which QFF *may* have chosen to skip, due to it being redundant.
I think that you’re probably ok.

I'm just a tad concerned that the 373k points was not deducted, that somehow there may be an issue with my itinerary, even though it's been ticketed.

I'll still keep my eye on it, as I'm expecting the change fees to apply plus the 373k charge / reimbursement.

Yes, best to leave it. I once had QF not (re)deduct a heap of points following an amendment to the itinerary. It didn’t affect anything else.

You have been deducted the correct number of points for the redemption and it has been ticketed. Unless you have a deathwish, just leave it alone. If they neglected to apply a change fee just accept it as a win - and for goodness sake don't post about it.

Not sure if your post is a troll or passive aggressive (or both) post, but as has been mentioned / implied, I'm fully aware and prepared to have the change fees applied.

I agreed to it over the phone and they'd have the recordings, therefore I'd not have a leg to stand on if I wanted to dispute.

If it's not charged, then great!
