Oh cough, thanks for posting that.

Can you tell me if the price rise is just for global explorer or for xONEx?

Is LONE5 ex-AKL is going to rise? If so I have to book one tomorrow.

This info is not even on Flyertalk! What is the (one)world coming to?

I believe there will be rises across the board including all the products ex NZ.

haven't ex-NZ DONEs already risen.I was just looking yesterday on the OW site and the savings didn't look nearly as much as has been reported.
But not nice-as the $A has risen against the $US in theory the quoted ex-Aust price should fall.

Interesting that the First AONE4 ex NZ is over NZD17000 given that oneworld have no First class service to/from there.

OneWorld site is still showing DONE4 ex Australia as $11490.

Surprising (or maybe not!) that prices are rising when the currency is so high.

I suspect the updated pricing will not be loaded until the 1st. For the sake of the person responsible for the loading of fares, I hope they don't make the same mistake as a few months ago, when old (and substantially less costly) pricings were mistakenly displayed.

It is very disappointing to see the constant erosion of the value of these fares. Between the price hikes (by way of example, a complex AONE4 in 2007 cost me $13,800; a simple one this year, $18,200) and the increasingly punitive rules (16 rather than 20 segments, inability to fly same city-pairs twice in the one itinerary, etc) they are becoming less and less attractive. The addition of new partners to OW is nice, but not of great use for the majority of my intineraries.

Perhaps these fares are in increased demand these days, partly due to dissemination on sites such as AFF and FT, which enables OW to push the prices.

All that being said, they still offer opportunities to map out great itineraries at reasonable cost. And, ACIRx and DCIRx fares remain good value for visiting the USA with an Asian stopover.

But not nice-as the $A has risen against the $US in theory the quoted ex-Aust price should fall.

That's what I would have thought as well. It does seem entirely reasonable. It would make sense, but perhaps OW thinks that now that our dollar is worth more we are more likely to travel OW and are able and willing to do so. Better think again.

I rushed and spent all day and night until 6am figuring out a LONE5 ex-AKL I would be the happiest with, and finally booked it through Qantas with the online tool because I did not have time to get it priced by AA.

The base fare when I did it on the morning of the 1st our time was $4099 NZD and it is now on the Oneworld website as $4499 NZD so I saved $300 aussie so thanks for the heads up!

FYI 12 month trip: AKL-xSYD-BKK-NRT-ORD-CUN-JFK-SFO-LIM-IGR-AEP-SCL-MAD-IST-xLHR-xHKG-AKL

(If I have any cash left I will stay in HKG and "miss" the last flight)

Even though it is with Qantas the taxes were a reasonable $859 NZD. Cheaper taxes by going AKL-SYD-BKK instead of AKL-HKG and I want to go back to Thailand anyway and would have had to fly AirAsia or Cebu as a side trip. Plus I get miles in my AAdvantage account for flying QF and BA instead of CX.

One anomaly was the return flight LHR-HKG, had much more taxes if I chose a BA flight instead of CX. Hope I can change it later to get the miles. Wanted to also route instead via HEL and visit Estonia but the taxes from HEL were even more absurd.

It was a pain that Iguazu flight goes to AEP not EZE so I had to fly to SCL to get a flight to MAD.

If I never stare at the oneworld booking tool and where we fly again it will be too soon. Not as good a deal as the 20 flight DONE4 ex-JNB for $6500 I had to cancel because of the GFC a few years back but at least I have the luxury to be in a position to go flashpacking for 12 months for the trip of a lifetime!

I am really excited that it is all finally booked in! Flying into AKL on Dec 2nd and leaving on the 9th.

I am glad the information was of help, I was curious to see what the savings were by getting in before the change, 10% or so is a bit!

Is it just me or has the costs of the oneworld Explorer fares disappeared from the oneworld website?

Just last night I was using the menu where you select the country of purchase and it gives the table of charges. Today I can't find it.

Could an 'enhancement' to charges be coming?

I noticed this also as I'm currently rebooking an ACIR26 - all the pricing links on the OneWorld website seem to have disappeared since last night. It's not just the link - the old bookmark I had for the fare page has been deleted also.

No doubt a fare increase is on the way - should have booked yesterday.

Edit - an AONE4 ex-AU is $17,399 plus $945.47 = $18,344.47 according to the OneWorld booking tool for an trip plan I've put in just now. My last AONE4 booking was June 10 and that was $17,097 plus GST. I don't remember what the exact price change was in October 10 but I don't think the current price has gone up since that last increase.

Agreed. I tried to refresh a page I had open last night and the table disappeared.

You should still be able to book at the current fares. For how long is anyone's guess.

The only change flagged to agents is the visit Asia fare:

Fare changes for travel on/after 01 April 2011 have been made to the oneWorld Visit Asia Fare (MASAPAS*)

I think it's deliberate. :-|

The link to the rules spreadsheet has moved to the T&C's down the bottom.

At least I still can use E/F for fares.

Certainly blows up the utility of the screen-scraping spreadsheet
