For the brains trust I am just starting to play a round with setting up FR24 I have uploaded/ downloaded csv file to get the aircraft and carrier code so I can adjust the final upload. I have read in post up thread that the tripit integration does not work. Is there an app or program that works with FR24 that will enable my email to sync with the app/program (e.g.) tripit and the allow me to auto import to FR24. From what I has seen with the free version I think I may have to add flights manually am I missing something.

FR24 cannot seem to auto calculate arrival times and does not seem to be as easy to edit as open flights. If you get a paid subscription to FR24 do things just become automatic and easier. It would also appear that if you need to add flights manually for connections you need to add bother flights e.g. SQ222 to SQ26 whereas Tripit used to bring these into openflights.

My very limited experience with FR24 so far is that it autofills a lot of boxes - paid subscription

@Matt_01 FR24 does integrate ok with tripit based on the only two flights I have had since March.

biggest problem for me on a bulk import were the equipment and airline.

I sorted by equipment and standardised, then by carrier.

It was a case of rinse and repeat. After fail, delete what had loaded. Edit then try again.

Extensive too as without covid, I would have gone over 2k RPT lifetime segments last year.

if you want I can email you my final .csv that actually loaded.

Do the updates occur automatically post flight. I have some future flights that have not come across and I can not find a way to force them across to FR24, I have authorised FR24 in my tripit account. It might just be a change in the way I do things as when using openflights on a quarterly basis I would import previous and future flights.

I found FR24's TripIt integration to be... not great; hence I ended up using OpenFlights instead and it's worked beautifully.

I would appreciate a copy of your .csv if you don't mind sharing?

I forgot all about this but luckily I used to download the csv and kml files fairly regularly (when I was flying) so had an up to date file to work from. I have opted for OpenFlights as it seemed easiest and is the same interface as AFF used to provide.

Light radar 24 does have a few more options

Fair enough. Not sure I would use them and, in any case, I expect they would be using my data for marketing and possibly more nefarious reasons so I am happy to stick with OpenFlights.

Understandable concerns ..

Another question for the MFR24 users, how do you get it to automatically up date your flights. After a bit of faffing around and with some help from @serfty spreadsheet I have loaded all my flight history to the end of 2020, maybe a few have been missed but most are there. Is there a way to to get FR24 to update automatically, I noticed that 2021 flights have not come through. As I have most of the flights in Tripit I sent a question to FR24 asking why it was not auto up dating. I was advised to cancel the link, clear the cache re-enable integration link and all the Tripit data would be imported. If I follow these step I am some what concerned that all the Tripit data will come through again.

I am thinking if I did an export from MFR24 then followed the procedure that MFR24 advised if all the data is imported would I be able to delete all but the 2021 flights, reimport my data and would Tripit only bring over new data for future flight. I as I have taken few flights in 2021 and not wedded to Tripit is there another flight tracking tool similar to Tripit that will scan my email or I can forward an itinerary to that integrates better with FR24. Apologies if this sounds confusing, I am just looking for the easiest way and not have to deal with on going maintenance.

@Matt_01 I have given up on the Tripit integration for now - I had one successful install but no more.

I manually enter the flights beforehand (not that there are many currently) - Fr24 does update them live as they operate.

I started to try myfr24 and found the way of inputting is very slow and clunky. I think I will goto Open flights!

It is, but the advantage of myFlightradar24 for inputting future flights is that you just enter the date and flight number, and it prefills the aircraft registration/type, airports, departure/arrival time, etc.

Having lost all my flight info when AFF removed the flight tracker last year, I've been able to recover most international flights from a box of tickets and boarding passes I hadn't got around to shredding. I was at ~650k miles in the old system, but have only got back to 500k in FR24 (there's dozens upon dozens of domestic flights that I've lost forever).

When you click through my sig box, it shows correctly 194 flights and 500k miles. My sig box below (at time of writing) however shows 40 flights and 123k miles: yet the in "Your Account | Signature" edit section, the box shows 194/500k. I've recopied the link from FR24 but wonder if I've done something else wrong. Or does AFF/FR24 link take time to upgrade?

Also how does one centre the resultant map on, for example, Australia? Mine centres on the Atlantic Ocean, @Mattg centres on Europe, @serfty and @bundybear centre on the US.

First world problem, I know :D.
