Well, my signature has taken a hit!



On checking the flights are still there.

... but the flight numbers have gone missing.

I tried to reload and while they do load, the flight numbers are not being populated.

Here is an example of an input line that is working other than the flight number.

6/30/2019,QF631,Brisbane / Brisbane (BNE/YBBN),Melbourne / Tullamarine (MEL/YMML),0:00:00,0:00:00,2:25:00, (/), (),,,0,2,2,,362,1795,631,231

The last four numbers are Airport (Orig & Dest) , Airline and Aircraft code/identifiers which override the specific columns.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this lack of flight numbers?

Yeah, I managed to fix it. Now up to 1997, although not showing yet.

Have my 2000th flight Sunday.

Not that is of any consequence what is the difference between IATA and ICAO codes. I logged into My FR 24 this evening to add some upcoming flights (I have conceded integration to TripIt is poor at best) I noticed on the dashboard I had taken 40 flights with an airline N0.

This made no sense and is something I have not noticed before after search this on google N0 came back Norse Atlantic Airways and according to Goggle was set up in 2021. This just confused me a little more and noticed as I hovered over code it returned RAAF which make sense.

Why does an ICAO code return a value corresponding for RAAF and IATA (N0) return a value of Norse. I switched to the miles view and this also seems to make sense as EK, SQ jumped up a few places and a couple of other airlines came back into the mix.


Are codes reused or is it the FR24 database is out of date or incorrect.

IATA codes are reused. I think there are also some concurrent duplicates for small airlines in different parts of the world.

Just to update this thread - is it still Openflights and FR24 that are the main choices? OpenFlights doesn't seem to be well supported, and I don't want to invest effort into something that might fall over again soon.

I’ve found FR24 to always work well except if you take a seaplane flight - sometimes it won’t accept it

And I’m happy with Openflights. Have and continue to work well enough. They did a large data standardisation sweep in the last year or two, so seems active enough.

Just stumbled on this thread.
I've got a little personal project in mind where it would be useful to have flight profiles. Does anyone know MyFR24 pick up that kind of info from FR24?

Victory is to the procrastinators!! Being laid up after surgery I drew a deep breath and decided I couldn't put off importing my 2020 AFF OpenFlights back-up CSV into myFR24, but wasn't looking forward to the back-and-forth editing.

I did the basic edits as suggested up-thread (date format, Qantas to Qantas Airways) then, forgetting the tip to limit the number of imports at the one time, uploaded my whole 1,213 line csv into myFR24. Got a red 'pending' (or 'on hold' ... can't recall) message and realised my mistake.

I asked serfty for some help, and when he answered, I looked back and the big file had imported perfectly, as far as I could tell. Oh, except for aircraft type, but I had lots of gaps in that column in the csv file, and not too fussed. Hmmm .. and Iberia hasn't come across.

Now, just to add the post March 2020 flights in.

Well, like RooFlyer, I did the "plunge" and updated MyFR24. It took me three weeks, along with 4 emails to the help team, but finally updated. I had an old MyFR24 when AFF left OF and I just decided not to update it, or go across to OF itself. Big mistake!!!! Cutting and dissecting Xcel spreadsheets is not the problem, it's the time to reenter the missing data. One good thing was that I did do a scrub of the data that took a few miles off the list! But I'm happy it's accurate now. The help team at MyFR24 were good, it takes 1-2 days for them to get back as they seem to be working from Stockholm. I do miss not having OF on AFF, as it did get me to the site more often, as it was also a good tool to see flight times and distances. And I have backed up!!!!

Seems to be a fairly sophisticated flight tracking tool with some quite detailed stats and a nice map. They have a free and a premium version.

I haven't but it looks swish from the demo. Can it import data from other sites?

I created a myFR24 account a couple of weeks ago, and manually entered data from memory and old emails/PDFs I had floating around, QF0/VA0 for the unknown ones for now.

Called qantas (following up an online request) to request a statement - provided for just 2500QFF points - and every QFF transaction (not just flights) back to when I joined/first flew in 2005! Should have started there in hindsight.

Q: Can Virgin/Velocity do the same thing?? I only need to go back 6-8 years on that one.

Looking forward to converting the PDF data and doing some manipulating/analysis - already found I've flown 70 sectors with QF and never realised until I started this that I've had over 100 flights (yeah, not very frequent but more than I expected)

Do you have to request that from them, or is it possible on line.

At the moment request is only via email. Send to your status email below and request for "full velocity activity history" with your velocity number noting it should come from the email account thats on your velocity account. It takes a few business days and then they send the export as a PDF.

I did end up contacting via a customer care form a couple of days back - request was actioned but still waiting as a NB....

Not sure where they have their customer service team but the email replies have been clunky cut and pastes by non English speakers i think
