Yes. Thank you for those figures for the two-party preferred.

I was talking more about this:

- loved Palmer's comment that he will fly in and out daily on his private jet so accommodation in Canberra will not be an issue. ( Interview on ABC this morning)
It will be amazing to watch how he handles parliamentary privilege.

Palmer, the member for Fairfax.

Looks like Clive will represent you good people of Fairfax. :) Result of the recount is Clive by 53 votes.

Just my personal musings.I think Clive might come to rue the day he entered politics. There will be a lot more scrutiny of his financial dealings and the outcome of that might be quite negative for him.

If I can put up with Rudd......Gillard.......Rudd in three year spurts I'm sure three years with Clive will past very fast:p

3 years??? Despicable T said he wouldn't debase himself by negotiation with independents and minor parties so I doubt this current parliament will last 3 years. What with the debacle of lost votes in WA they may as well just have a D-D election now and be done with it.

Though he may need a little time to redo the whole Coalition campaign, now that the previous one has turned out (gasp!) to be a pack of lies.

The difference being he doesn't need to negotiate with anyone to form government. That's a big difference from Gillard's situation.

But he does need to at least discuss his proposals with the Senate where he doesn't have a majority.

He doesn't have a mandate to ram through any piece of legislation through the Senate.

The attempt by Abbott and co to force Labor to agree to repeal the Carbon Tax can only work a few times before they actually have to negotiate with other parties.

It is good to know that now Tony Abbott is in government that climate change is no more because god told him it wasn't true. Let's hope god comes to the party on a few more things.

We might get another vote in WA this year. The Electoral Commission must be embarassed!

That's the case with most governments. When did Abbott say that god had told him that climate change wasn't real? I must have missed that. I think its good that we can now start to properly look at climate change and how to live with it, away from all the greenie snouts in the climate change money trough.

Yeah get the greenie snouts out of the trough so that big business can line up for extra subsidies/corporate welfare.
