Paris Suites!

We whizzed through the I&C formalities and made our way to the QF DOM desk for check-in and the bus ride over to T3..... the 4 odd hours in the SYD J lounge was a drag, but one gets use to these things. The flight to MCY was a bit of a blur .... I took these photos and then crashed for the short flight up north.

That's it. Thanks for reading....

The next big trip is Sept, where we continue the burning of QFF points. QF F to LAX, and then J to JFK..... taking in Boston, Upper Saranac Lake, and NYC. Then it's QF J 787 all the way from JFK to BNE.

Thank you for writing this and especially for the pics.
Have really enjoyed following along- and taken a few notes for our next Paris visit!

Fantastic TR as always @amaroo and a continuation of my gastronomic education :D looking forward to the next one. I'll have a little go in between now and September.

The ergonomics also suit the cabin crew - not having to lean over you during meal service

The tableware looks more interesting than QF so called designer tableware by whats his name

What are those linear ?lights above the next suite's TV?

Can you please describe the cabin lighting changes during the flight.

I agree it’s a real bonus for the FAs and their backs. It’s a little weird looking at the person opposite, but once the door is shut you’re in your own cocoon. Might be a little claustrophobic for some as a single passenger, but as a couple with the wall down - it’s perfect!

The presentation and plating of the food was excellent.

On lighting - I’m not sure what they are ... they look a little like seat / cabin positioning indicators for the FA???

Can’t remember how the lighting was adjusted during the flight.... other than it all looked as it should during the different stages of the flight.

So were the seats in the new SQ suites comfortable? not too hard? bumping your knees when swivelling around?

I forgot to answer the bed question.

The bed is very hard. I'm not sure why they don't compensate by offering a soft mattress topper. I understand the logistics might be an issue.... weight, space, labour, etc.... QF F overhead bins are stuffed full of the things, but no one complains when they're lying on them.

I compensated by sleeping on top of the quilt .... the cabin was a touch hot so the light blanket they provide was just perfect.

Excellent TR and photos as usual - thanks again

Awesome trip report once again.

Looking forward to your next one, especially to get some more food ideas for our NYC trip in Dec :)

Appreciate all the thank you posts :)

Looks like the next TR won't have to wait until Sept.... we've managed to slip-in a family trip to Hong Kong in a couple of weeks. A few days ago Qantas released 3.5 x J BNE-HKG-BNE. P1 has turned out to be amazingly worthwhile.

How good is that !!!

Just reading this TR now.

Amazing. Thanks so much for this. I truly believe this is a really generous contribution, just like everyone who makes a TR be it here or other social media - its invaluable.

So jealous also. :p
