Geez how long would it take to read the menu? By the time you get to the end, the beginning would have been forgotten and you will have to start again

BTW what was the origin of the red checked tablecloth that is so French

It's a proper menu presented in a leather folder, not some plastic fantastic print job .... you can see it in some of the photos posted above.

Now that's a decent wine list!

Coming over from QF - it certainly is.

The TV is a nice size - I would rate it better than QF F

Delicious way to start a flight / meal

The setting - better than QF F, due to cutlery, plates and S&P shakers

We both went for the Iberico Ham

After quite a few Krugs, I went for the Margaux - wine list is a clear winner over QF F

We both went for the Cantonese Watercress Soup

SQ salad - absolute winner over the QF F NP leaves

Lobster and Mussel

I went with BTC - Roasted Loue Chicken .... this was a mistake.

Bypassed dessert and went to the cheese

The bed - the couple seats are exceptional, the feeling of space is wonderful. I was thinking it would have to be close to unbeatable on a commercial ticket.... well the next flight was better! The mattress is another story - hard is the word. SQ would do well and copy QF with the fitting of a soft topper.

I did ask mrsamaroo to vacate the bed before taking this photo.... she said, just take it.

TV viewing from the bed is excellent - perfect height.

Breakfast...

We both BTC for the Spinach and goat cheese quiche - excellent.

After a visit to the TPR for a shower and cleaning of the pegs, we dropped our HL at the airside storage facilities and headed into town with friends.

After a catch up over tea & coffee we moved onto Natureland Massage for a 1.5hr foot, shoulder, and neck reflexology - this would have to be one the best things to do after a long haul flight. Total bliss!

After some shopping we sat down for lunch at another amaroo family favourite - Lei Garden Chijmes, we've been coming here for over 15 years, way before it got its Michelin *

Always get a sensational meal here.

After more shopping we got a taxi back to the airport to take a look at the new attraction at SIN - Jewel

No doubt it’s one big OTT structure, but other than It’s something new, close to where I needed to be.... it held no other attraction for me. A few restaurants are still being fitted out, and what looks to be the better attractions are closed till mid June.

The monorail made it feel like I was in a Jurassic theme park.

The queue for Shack Shack is still ridiculously long.... if that's your thing.

If you discount our shower visit earlier in the day - this is our first real TPR visit.

We arrived in the lounge around 5.30pm.... it was deserted. To get to the lounge we passed other SQ lounges - they were overflowing. I suppose this is what you get when you eliminate the "status pass" By the time we left the lounge I saw 5 other passengers.... our flight departed at 8pm.

What did you think of TPR? Seems a diverse range of opinions on it. Are you in the yeah! or meh! camp?

I think my next goal is save enough points for a F redemption. But I'm still excited about J, so there's time to work up to F. But your photos make it look so fancy!

Have a foot in both camps. It’s certainly a nice lounge with excellent beverages. But, it’s not the market leader like SQ Suites is in the air.

The SYD QF F lounge has a completely different / better vibe, due to its size, decor, spa, and superior location/view. I would also rate the food / restaurant as superior.

I would however, rate TPR superior to the LHR BA CCR ... that place is just a little depressing on all fronts.

I suppose I’m in the Meh camp.

We certainly started in whY.... took years to upgrade to J ...... now we're enjoying the sweet-spot. Still do plenty of whY flying, so it's not all champagne and caviar.

TPR menu. We sat down in the restaurant just after 6pm, I enquired why the lunch menu was still open. Waiter told me dinner kicks in after 6.30pm and the only real difference is Lobster. Since I had selected Lobster via BTC I went with satay and some Indian small bites the waiter recommended.

That crispy pork looks sensational! This restaurant is now on the list for a visit when we are in Singapore in December.

SQ Suites SIN - SYD ..... new suites.

We preselected the couple seats. This is our suites with the divider down .... massive is an understatement. There is abundant room to have your bed down, seat reclined and the table out for dinner. Amazingly awesome cabin! The couple seats really shows the seat / cabin at its best.
