They quote the rates for "bookings made in Australia" and for "bookings made in New Zealand". I wonder what happens for bookings made elsewhere? Do they have no option but to pay with points?

And I wonder how the define "in"? Is it the country where the agent is located, the country where the member is located, the country where the phone call is initiated? Cound lead to some interesting discussions with the booking agent when it comes time to make the charge.

And then there is the definition of "domestic" for bookings made in New Zealand - does that mean New Zealand domestic flights or is a flight AKL-CHC classified as international as it is in the rest of the FF program Terms and Conditions?

Got to love the ambiguity   .

It clearly means domestic within NZ (although trans-tasman charged the same amount). Bookings for Australia domestic flights are not made in NZ.

So if you are sitting in Auckland and phone Qantas using a local NZ number, and ask them to book a flight SYD-MEL for you, are you charged the NZ or AU domestic amount?

Well I also believe are are charged Australian GST when we should be exempt! I have not checked it out because my QF domestic routes have now been transferred to JQ. :(
