Per oneworld rules, BA F customers can use the QF F lounge. BA do not have their own lounge at SYD.

I like your lateral thinking.Maybe sponsor a WP on a trip somewhere strategically flying out of MEL/SYD one evening (NZ, Japan?) - two return economy fares are a lot less expensive than the BA F. (Although, you earn even less SC's.)
