Hi All,

How do you get on getting a PE taster for early flights (i.e. Velocity centre not open yet)?

I rang the guest contact centre rather than velocity .

Damn - forgot to for my flight to Sydney in the morning.

Try asking at the lounge. I did the other day in Mel and they were happy to do it - turned out to be unnecessary as they gave me an op-up because the flight was totally full.

I've just booked a flexi ticket for travel at the end of September (funnily enough, it was cheaper than the saver by about $50 - go figure!) and it still has the section on the bottom telling me I'm eligible for the taster upgrade. Ticket clearly issued 25th August and no mention of an expiry date. Anyone think they'll stand by it?

I'm hoping so! I'm travelling in about 3 weeks and hope to "try it on" and see if they'll allow PE taster for a bit longer (given J isn't on line yet). I guess the reality is, they have to discontinue it at some point though.

Be sure to report back!

It does have to stop eventually, however it's pretty poor if they're advertising it as available (without an expiry date) and then not allowing it.

I managed to get one yesterday, ADL-MEL for $18. Upgraded from a saver fare.

On an old itinerary I've seen that blurb, and while there wasn't an expiry date, there was something like "terms and conditions apply" with a link to the full ts and cs, which included the expiry date. Was this on yours?
