We can head into the city too. Theres quite a few nice bars available

Yep, no need to stay at The Royal the whole night as there are other options, but was just there a Friday a couple of weeks ago to see Perth Glory screw the pooch again (!!) and it was nice...

I think last AFF meetup there we just got one of the outside long tables and sat around that with drinks then ordered meals eventually, but just wondering if its worth ringing up and reserving a table??? Hmm, seems you can reserve a table inside, or outside on the boardwalk near the water, but not sure how coldish it could be by then...

Here's the link to the bar there and the drinks and the bar food menu... They do have another menu for dinner at the restaurant where the prices are a bit higher...

So if we make meeting at The Royal at 6pm the plan, and stay for at least an hour for the latecomers before moving on if we so choose. :?:

We should eat first, so we can drink more...

I don't drink alcohol :p

Unfortunately I think I may need to downgrade to a scratching for this one. I will probably be in either Singapore, Saigon or Sydney depending on the weather :(

Me personally, i think eating and drinking at The Royal would be the go and then can move on to another bar after that say 8-9pm for those who want to kick on as some won't want to perhaps...

Do we need to book a table at The Royal? If so, can someone please.

The last drinks night we took a bench table on the western end and concentrated on the drinks. Booking a dinner table gets tricky as you won't know how many will want a sit down meal.
You can get simple pub style food at the bench tables or you can move on.

You had better downgrade my status to Silver (probably not)

Life is getting just a bit more complicated than it needs, the move West has been put back a few weeks. Work over this side of the country has become a bit more important, especially with an upcoming event.

Sounds like a good plan. First one there bags the table!

Sorry to miss you. Maybe next time I head west.

OK, called them up and can't book the outside tables, so looks like it will be first come/first served...
