PER to JFK for $758 + taxes on SIA

Did a search on ZUJI: Your Online Travel Guru for PER to JFK with flexible dates and four Singapore Airlines flights came up from $728 to $822.

Taxes turn out to be $500 , so all up around $1240 rtn

However when booking through could only book for a 5 day trip

Also cant find this fare on any other online booking site so dont know what the rules are. But seems like a very good price if you can get it for longer than 5 days.

the dates I put in were 17 July and 19 July but do a 'flexible' date search in zuji and you may find more.

Surprised that this hasn't been posted on Mileage Runs on Flyertalk.

Too bad I'm on the East Coast, and it's not worth getting over to Perth just to do a UA or SQ Mileage Run.

I'm doing the AA milk run to the US (QF -> NRT, AA -> NYC) in November. ~$1100 ++ = $1425 or so.

The SYD-LAX and SYD-JFK (at least) fares are loaded on Zuji. A few $ cheaper, even including the zuji fee.

Books into Q class for both segments, so I'll split the crediting (QF-> QF and AA -> AA) as neither airline's FF scheme likes Q class on the other airline.

Just checked Zuji and found that the fare is available for outward journeys until mid-September. Quite good seat availability too, it prices out at AUD 1275. The only problem is "latest return within 3 days".

Yes, you read it right.

Thus it would have limited appeal (but I would do it if I weren't already committed during this period).

Misloaded fare? Conditions wrong? Never seen a "max of 3 days", normally it's a "min" of three days.

It may be all of the above, but it is bookable and cheap. Why not go for it...

Wish I could, but I'm going to the USA and Thailand (2 separate bookings) over the next couple of months.

I am going to Thailand in 2 weeks time and in 4 weeks time I will be on a RTW briefly visiting USA and then on to Europe....

Hopefully not a fool, as I will be collecting 150,000 FF miles on UA (July triple miles promotion) and the Thailand trip ex-SYD is a cheap FF redemption.

It's more that I am time-poor at the moment. But $1275 for all those miles (PER-SIN-FRA-JFK-SIN-PER) would be pretty hard to beat.

Again your example really highlights, triple miles promotion, how competitive the FF programs are in the USA which sometimes filters through to travel originating in Australia....

Just wanted to say thanks cbert for highlighting this fare.

My G/F and I have just returned from our quick trip on this fare (kind of RTW, PER-SIN-FRA-JFK, EWR-SIN, SIN-PER). Was a pity we could only have 2 nights in NYC, but great to have a couple of nights in SIN included in the ticket, so all up was able to spend 1 week away on this great fare.

Also earned just under 24000 Krisflyer points which is almost enough for a one-way trip to SIN (exPER) i think?

I must say really enjoyed the service and seats on SQ, it goes without saying that the leg on executive economy was the best. But even though this was expected it exceeded our expectations greatly. I would highly recommend the direct flights on the A345, and would happily pay a premium in the future.

I notice this price no longer seems to be available (on Zuji), hopefully it appears again sometime,

Sounds like you had an enjoyable trip.

A one way PER-SIN requires 23,800 KrisFlyer points (28,000 KrisFlyer points one way PER-SIN less 15% online booking bonus) so you should have enough KrisFlyer points.
