Best welcome I have had from the CSM was at Singapore Airport in July when the CSM came into the First Class lounge and introduced himself to all of the passengers on his Sydney bound flight, QF32 (and politely wished those on the earlier Perth flight a pleasant trip) which was probably around 15 passengers in total. He also recognised us again as we boarded and again wished us a pleasant flight.
I thought it must have been the new First Class standard given the upscaling of Sydney's First Class lounge, but alas, it didn't happen again on the August trip.
If I had of thought quick enough I could have asked for a few 'extras', but was too stunned that he actually did the walk around, but I will be prepared for this months flight with a 'wish list'. I'm sure they have some extra 18yo Chivas in the bottom drawer
