.... but I understand that some people crave obsequiousity.
You learn something new everyday. I have been trying to google this word to find out it's meaning. Any clue as to what this word means and how it relates to being a "statused" frequent flyer?

I believe the suggestion is that there are some 'statused' FFs out there who wish to be 'fawned over' and generally made a fuss of; and no doubt there are some!

It is basic etiquette to let the people in front deplane first unless they are waiting for assistance or just don't appear to be in any sort of hurry.
I've also seen rear deplaning first on a metroliner with a full liggage load of TV crew gear. They requested we deplane rear first, with an implied reference to keeping the center of gravity forward.
