Perth airport second world?

Gee I was concerned I may not get on a plane leaving Perth due to the passionate responses to my thread..... Then the best news from last post that red roster exists.... have the coupons for free food for them. Will be using them. Saw Hudson coffee... Is red down stairs after TSA?
There is no TSA in Australia. Please read the posts that people post in reply to your thread.

Is red down stairs after TSA?

The acronym "TSA" refers to a specific agency based in the US. It is in no way a verb and is unlikely to become so, since even in the US people still talk about pre and post security.
In this context it looks very funny, almost like saying that your home in Perth was broken into last night, so you called the FBI...

... by calling 911.

The unfortunate laugh is that people in this country do try and call that number for bona fide emergencies.

Not sure if that's worse than those who call 000 to arrange their own private courier, or order pizza.

Sorry for the O/T slant.

We might be going OT but there's a lot of people who think that an ambulance is a good alternative to a taxi & a way to get into the hospital quicker.

That may well actually be the case in some circumstances (but it's likely you'll need to give the driver directions :p)

I'm out of here. Love Perth and the people.
But had to get the manager to approve free food voucher as two staff did not know about promo in terminal. Has come along way upstairs to last being in waiting area.

Now PLANT where are you going now?
We are heading to MEL for the cricket this afternoon.
I think a Super Fund owns the lease of Perth Airport and they are slowly working on both sides of the airport. Emphasis on SLOWLY.
We may have an A380 service in 2014 out of Perth.

I hope you were not on the VA 930HRS COVE?
I was....
How long you in Melbourne?

Left Perth for the cricket and we go to Sydney on 30th to meet some AFFers for dinner in the Rocks.
With Mrscove at 2,430 SCs before leaving Perth I had no choice to travel with anyone else than Qantas.
We took the A330-300 and it was lovely with the sleeper seats. Mrscove is a very good tester of sleeper seats.
Perth airport was less busy than normal and we had no issues in the lounge nor boarding. Did not notice anything second world as our driver dropped us really close to check in.

'Brisbane airport’s new runway will in fact be the first major runway work done at any private airport in Australia since they were handed over.' Doesn't widening, taxiways and ramp to accommodate A380 in MEL count as major works?

I prefer lounges after security - who wants to queue for security after a later boarding call in the lounge? As for Perth Domestic Airport - what an embarrassment. Never realised we passengers actually pay to use the airport facilities (naive I know). That is a really expensive toilet stop. I've been to cool airports in Europe with funky desk set ups, with wifi at the gates for working travellers. Apart from the visual ugliness of PDA, as a lone female traveller who often collects a hire car late at night the poorly lit trek to the hire car park is uncomfortable.
