It's probably not enough notice but is anyone in Perth up for a few drinks and maybe dinner on Sunday 8th November?

Wednesday 11th would be an option also.

Sunday 8th works for dinner, and the 11th isn't too shabby either. Have you PMd the usual suspects?

thanks for including me in the PM, i am finishing up my uni and i've got two exams around those dates so i have to give this one a miss!

2 weeks too early; as I will be in Perth 21-22 November; and still planning the return part of the trip so a Sunday night dinner would have been perfect.

Err.. Will be in Bali (again)

Not this trip but I am back 21/11 to 6/12 when I head off to Europe.

By the way Steady, as you are over so often, why don't you buy my house?

Save on all that hotel accommodation

Chris

I'm off on the 7th Dec Chris, so something prior to then would also work well.

Happy to do both dinners if we obtain quorum, Steady.

This looks to be my last trip to PER this year - I will probably be over again sometime in Jan

I fly back into Oz on 10th November so the 11th would be the only date I could do...

Sunday 8th is better for me at this stage.

Did you have anywhere in mind? Excellent new places have opened in the CBD in the Treasury building, corner St George's Tce and Barrack St. Had lunch at Post the other day and Rob Broadfield's review of Petition Kitchen (Petition Kitchen) in today's 'West' indicates that is equally good at a slightly more casual level. Notably, it's open on Sunday - which some of the other good suspects in the CBD aren't.

One of the things that I particularly like is the lighter style of the food. Prices are reasonable.

Great winebar/wineshop and beer bar on the premises as well.

Should also PM Jukebox333 and esseeayeen if they don't spot this.

I'd rather a WA local choose the location - my only preference would be somewhere close to the Crowne Plaza.

I'm free for either the 8th or the 11th.
It's true that the Crowne Plaza is a bit too far east for restaurants, but the city isn't far down the Terrace and every bus is free within the CBD.

Chris

I am also off to Europe on 6/12 - who are you flying with?

QF to SIN (to check out the QF lounge now that we have a Qantas flight back in Perth)
EK to DXB
QF to LHR
But flying the 7th (the 6th is my last day for dining out in Perth).

SIN adds a few hours but breaks the trip up and limits the EK no upgrade time

Oh I see I'm flying with EY.

I'm off to SIN on the 7th too, but on the early SQ flight. Heading to MLE for 10 days.

Happy for JohnM to decide time and place, Sunday 8th is fine if we are in agreement.

Certainly interested - Wed is better, but depending on consensus, may still make Sunday.

Let's see how the plan develops :-)
