Perth QC (QP) a joke

Not so bad today a full hour before 580 departs, plenty of available seating and the wireless is still quite fast. Surprisingly the hi-viz brigade is virtually non existent, is guess there's always a first for everything. :)

FWIW the same happened in Singapore last night. LOL.

Could not get a seat it was packed, looked forward to cracking WP next week and trying the other lounges. Still won't change things at Perth though I guess.

I've just been getting a plate of food, a glass of wine and going down to the terminal to eat it. I don't think they mind too much and I always bring my empties back in.

I travel through PER monthly. As with other posters, it's busy at times - especially when there are delays, however calling something a joke based upon limited individual experience (although I note the theme from multiple contributors) might be a bit unfair.

To balance the argument, I've always found a seat, haven't been turned away (in excess of 40 visits) and usually don't pay that much attention to what others are wearing or doing- its harder to be offended that way.

Sure I'd like it to compare with other lounges - but it is Perth after all and things are just a bit different there ;)

Hi-viz is never an "issue" in the afternoon in the PER QP. When I was there last Friday afternoon, I only remember observing only one person in Hi-viz in the whole QP (and the place was chockablock).

If the seats are all taken (never seen it), wait 5 minutes until the next flight is called. Perth QP is my 'home ground' and I have no problems with it at all.

I'm in the Perth QP right now. It's not busy today, but I did just watch a couple change their baby on one of the tables next to the windows. You know, the tables we eat off.

In my view that is grounds for execution…..

I was talking about 11am ish. Still, even in the afternoons I generally see a pretty strong showing from the Hi-Vis people.

That is totally disgusting.

As a parent the QP's are very hard to do nappy changes but when we had to do them when in the QP's we went to the showers. Some do have a baby change table in the disabled toilet.

PER has baby change tables in the disabled showers... As a parent I've yet to find a QP which has not had baby change tables available when I've needed them.

I think I have mentioned before the Lounge is full much of the time but usually you can find one seat. I quite often have to meet 2 or 3 others at Perth Airport prior to flights and the hope of finding 3 or 4 seats together in the Lounge is virtually impossible. Things will change in the next couple of years hopefully. I have been offered the CL once but that was a couple of years ago. The Lounge was exceptionally busy that morning but wonderful in the CL with time and the peace to think and work. There is a new CL now but haven't got to see that one yet!

At least Qantas will have it fixed soon!

Last year when I had Virgin Plat complimentary I did try the downstairs lounge one day. Very morbid with no views at all. Not sure if that has changed. Anyway having not made any Virgin flights last year .... am downgraded now working my way down to Bronze I guess. LOL.

I was there 2 days ago, did not even bother to go inside while waiting for a connecting flight. Just bought a coffee downstairs and sat outside in the sun.
