Anyone know what happened to the seasonal Airbus service on Perth - Singapore that Qantas run over Xmas /New year. Cannot see where they have scheduled this in this year was there last year.

Likewise...maybe aircraft filling the gap SYD-AKL now EK have pulled out??

I think it's just the two 737 services each day....no upguaging....presumably all the A330s are accounted for this year

I think some days there is only one 737 service on that route.

Yeah, maybe the second 737 is the seasonal service :)

QF71/72 is daily B737,
QF77/78 is (at present) Mo Fr Su B737.
The Airbucket has been scheduled during the summer school holidays, but has probably been withdrawn to promote more "East Coast Airways" flights into Asia. (flame suit now on!!)

I flew PER-SIN last January. When booking, I noted the aircraft was the dreaded B737 but it ended up being an A330. I wish I had bothered with a J upgrade request. Bugger!

I suppose we should be thankful for small mercies, but the seasonal extra flight a couple of days a week being another 737 just doesn't do it for me...

Out of interest, what was so bad about it? Were you in Y or J?
WE were in Y so no great expectations.

One flight attendant in particular picked on a passenger and actually made a show of her by hauling her to the front of the aircraft and accusing her of being drunk and misbehaving.

Those that saw the incident said it was the opposite situation with the FA actually causing and then escalating the situation when called out on it.

This was early in the trip, the passenger was actually well behaved, but it spoilt the atmosphere of the balance of the trip.

Another FA was just being hard to get on with, rude to the passengers generally and just strutting back and forth doing very little.

I reported it to QF but it just got the usual brushoff. In future I would report it again but advise them that I will file an ATSB report unless it is acted upon appropriately.

I had the pleasure of taking the PER-SIN leg of this rotation last year and after 2 or so hours on a flight that was absolutely chockers, I could picture crew and passengers going a bit nutty. It is really cramped and generally, a very uncomfortable experience for an international trip.

I've done this flight in Y. Really not that bad and no different at all to PER - BNE sector on the same aircraft.

How else would you fit in an extra row if the seat pitch didn’t change?

They reduced the toilet and galley size. Was previously 30" and is still 30" Y seat pitch.
