Pet airport lounge hates

Ha! At the risk of sending this thread off-topic, would you ban dogs/animals (other than guide dogs, of course) from airport lounges?

Yes. I love my cat but there is no way she will ever be in an airport lounge.
Not appropriate for her or the other pax.

I once did similar on a domestic flight, had my headphones plugged into the microphone jack, couldn't work out why the sound was so low for about 30-40min! The poor people next to me must have thought I was a right twit.
Join the club - my faux pas was on a AirNZ flight and I only realised when the passenger next to me pointed out the obvious. I just hoped they liked The Expanse series

When in our big public hospital in a mixed ward of 8 people, the doofus next to me had earphones on but hadn’t plugged the cord into the TV. He kept turning the volume up and up as he couldn’t hear it but we were being blasted by his TV. Eventually one of us called for the nurse and she said to him to turn it down (at 11pm at night). He had a whinge saying that we had our TV on during the day. The nurse then saw the plug hanging out so plugged it straight in. He got the full blast of his own high volume.

People seem to lose their manners when they think they are rich it seems.

My one and only time in Changi TPR. Guy talking loudly to some relos on a video call at full volume. Not 2m away were the quiet rooms but no manners. Was all in Hindi which I could understand as well.. conversation felt like it was staged so he could flash his status.

Also, no washing of the male genetalia over the bathroom sink please

^ What the ... huh ... how is that even considered possible to be a Thing?!

Funny I've experienced this in the TPR too. And the conversation doesn't have to be that loud to be heard through the entire lounge.

This is where staff should be trained to direct people to a quiet room.

Yuck.

Hand/carryon luggage on seats, a single person sitting in the middle of a three or, a couple in the middle of a four seat space, lack of power points, covering a table with newspaper/magazines/plates/cups/glasses so even if there is only one person at the table you have nowhere to put your own glass/cup/plate

Poor hygiene at food areas and not just kids. I can’t stand seeing people grab food with their hands and even worse when they put it back. I’ve also seen an Asian bloke sneeze all over the food at the QF MEL Dom lounge. Needless to say my appetite disappeared rapidly

I don’t eat when I see someone sneeze or cough over the buffet. Turns me off anything.

Noise and hygeine.
Business types and their phone conversations. Why can't you step outside or go to a designated phone area. But a tick for the Kangaroos-supposedly arrogant rugby league types but the time we shared a lounge in BKK with them any time one got a phonecall or wanted to make one they went outside.
And the MEL J lounge on Saturday combined both my dislikes.A reasonably empty lounge but lots of young children running around screaming and then going to the food and handling everything.Because of that I went to the Spice bar. What is it with the name Spice.None of it in the beef brisket and noodle soup I had.

When people could smoke in supermarkets and one guy did so leaning over the uncovered fresh food which I commented was unhygienic, he answered, "I pay my taxes". Perhaps people still think so?

What chance do we have.....and I think it’s getting worse.

It’s in the Melb J lounge I usually see this kind of behaviour too with kids. That’s where I told a kid off for picking up all the rolls and putting them back. Although I did tell someone just recently to use tongs, just can’t rememebr where.
