PGR Program Changes

Logged in this morning, but they seem to have resurrected an account from 2011 that had been closed and transferred to a new account (don't really understand why they did that at the time, but whetever).
Now my account has nothing in it....

Has anyone had success logging in yet? I received no email about the change to EVT stays and can't log in with my PGR credentials and the password reset link doesn't arrive when requested. I have raised a support ticket, but no reply.
FYI - I reached out to Rydges via Facebook explaining there are many of us who can't log in and there has been no reply to help tickets thus far and I received the below reply:

"We are aware of the issue and our EVT Stays team are working extremely hard to fix this. If you have logged a ticket with member services, please be rest assured that it will be looked at and resolved as quickly as possible."

Thank for reaching out to them via FB. I tried to cancel a booking, but that system doesn’t work either. Along with having no booking reference (emails stopped months ago) I’ve emailed hotels but even they hardly ever reply. Essentially Ive stopped booking with them (including quite a few multi-room bookings) and have to call up and try and cancel without a reference. Customer service is non existent. Accor has been the winner here.

It doesn’t sound like just a cosmetic name change but rather a much bigger “system backend change”
There’s always likely mess no different to a major upgrade of a freeway - adding lanes and re-asphalting multiple lanes at the same time while expecting normal heavy traffic to keep flowing

In this case, the PGR roads been closed and traffic can’t flow which for them means forward bookings VIA THEIR OWN channel MAY “fall Orf the cliff”.

I now can log in, but none of my future bookings are showing. I wonder how many support tickets they're receiving!

Yep same. Interestingly in the “My vouchers” section I have 2 free night vouchers, but no idea how to use them. Ticket request still not replied to since end of August.

They've straightened my duplicate accounts out. Now, I'm thoroughly confused about retaining membership. Apparently, I've achieved retaining my current level in 2026. Doesn't make sense.

The good part
I did get 15% Orf on the booking page
I did get a 9am checkin at an hour & half notice
I did score the room upgrade

The welcome drink didn’t occur….

This didn’t as I STILL CANNOT LOG IN so can’t add it at checkout
the hotel was “doubling up” on the $25 food and drink credit - no they weren’t. Two separate offers are out there

Are there any redemption offers under the new program other than "stays". I can't see any when logged into my account. For example, I used to be able to redeem for a free drink when I had points expiring but not enough for a free night.

AT LEAST I can now get into my account!

and no, didn't see any other than room redemptions - even when the heading was All Categories

Here’s the definitive answer

What a fantastic loyalty program; I joined PGR around 20 years ago and was top tier for many years.

It was my favourite program but following these latest enhancements I can't see any reason to choose one of their hotels other than when it is the lowest price in an area where I need to stay. Nothing in this program incentivises me to choose them over another.
