Physical QFF Card Not Working

My mother got the Airwin type email recently, about the barcode fault and "requesting" a new one. I have not got any emails...yet. We both have Q money, just a little for emergencies and both have the same expiry Nov 23, I am Gold she is Silver.
Neither of us scan it at shops for points etc so not a problem we have noticed...

I thought it was a scam but maybe I'd better check, as I am going OS soon.

I was concerned also @jastel from the perspective that I had swiped physical card at BP and no points ( though they landed with a bonus a few weeks later should have been 33 but got 533, no email though)
We are travelling shortly and I had no issue buying Eu trains tickets online though not using physical card.
I have alternate funds if needed.
There was insufficient time for me to get replacement card mailed.

Been fighting with my mothers Qantas app for the last half hour...

First to get the 30/1000 Bonus points - if you dont use your app much like us you WILL need to update it. The app does not say it needs updating but if you dont update it the bonus screen wont appear. I did this on her phone and my phone...neither of us have flown for the last 3 months or so.

I eventually found out via a help menu how to order a new card for her, on her app. But even after pushing the big red "Order Card" button there is nothing to say it worked, no beep, screen saying "Card Ordered" or whatever. So I went back in and tried again and got an error saying card has already been ordered. So we will wait and see.

She has a trip in 2 weeks and I've booked her and Dad into the lounge with her free Westpac visits, now she is worried the card wont work and they wont let her in, so I gave her a confirmation printout as well. I have shown her how to show her Flights/Passes/Silver on the app...but I dunno if she will still remember that in 2 weeks...

At least she wont need the Travel Money as its a DOM trip.

You can log out of the app on your phone and then log into hers?
 
It's now been 3.5 weeks since my OP and still no card received (within 3 weeks was quoted in the email). I called them up this morning, he said the replacement card has been ordered but not yet issued so there must be a backlog.

He did say the issue is only with BP, the card will work fine for all other purposes including QF lounges, oneworld partners and the Mastercard facility.

That does make sense as I was missing 2x BP transactions that I did a manual claim for, and now just use the BPme app exclusively (now I found out you can just scan the BP rewards barcode within that app at the counter if Pay for Fuel isn't working - and ensures you get the QF points).

So in summary, I'll just keep using my existing card.

Though I didn't get any email notification @justinbrett , I did have issues using the physical card at BP. No points earned but posted 3/52 later.
As we are travelling next week, thought I better give it a go on a small transaction.
I used the card to tap and go at a local shop. Worked without issue and transaction has appeared on my Q Money App.

Now I wait to see how they manage the 1/4 point I earned!
 
I dont get many points from BP to check as I have a fuel account with them and get higher discounts and less points. The email from Qantas (like Airwins one) clearly says "at the Airport" as well.

As usual seems like nobody knows the full story...ask 10 people get 10 answers.

Anyone had trouble using the plastic Qantas card to check in or get in a lounge lately?
Mum is 80 ish and doesnt like apps.
