Quick question, I've only recently started using this app, I checked in to 2 Accor properties last week as well as another today, there is a badge for checking in during the Olympics. Is that the Rio Olympics ? The badges and checkins from last week have been confirmed but not the "checkin during the Olympics "

I just had a stay from Friday - Monday Validate and it didn't get me the Olympics badge either, I was just about to start doing some research on how to chase it up.

The Olympics badge is probably locked to the dates of London 2012, or maybe Beijing 2008. It has been there for several years at least.

Thought that may have been the case, but for us newer users, there is nothing else on there to say that. So to us recent users, it looks like Rio would qualify for the badge.

I believe that only works if you stay in the Olympic city - Rio in this case.

Decided to visit my old haunt, Pullman on the Park MEL. Noticed a number of "enhancements" for the worse at the exec lounge. No longer are hot food options available on self serve. Between 7-7:30pm the staff would walk to each table offering a tasting of their 2 choices of hot food of a mini pie or potato croquette. Not sure why they would do that with the exception of limiting the intake? Also didn't automatically receive the corner suites as Platinum eventhough the hotel was not full.

The Accor IT dept forgot to renew the certificate for the Places website... so it won't work doesn't matter what OS you are using on your smartphone, tablet or PC.

Been chatting to the Accor social media team, and there's an update coming, and that you'll be awarded the "checkins" once the app is back up and running.

bonus points for a stay 10 days ago.

To get the Places app up, on my desktop I had to go to https://api-placesbyleclubaccorhotels.com and add a security exception for the expired certificate, then I was able to go to http://placesbyleclubaccorhotels.com without error + without it stalling on the welcome screen

Used the app on my iPhone 5s yesterday. Had been flakey for a month or more not able to 'check in' but surprisingly it worked yesterday!
