QF are refusing to change FF details and apparently what's on your BP is what's used for lounge entry.

FYI i was able to get my number changed at the J lounge from QFF to CX in order to qualify for lounge entry lol (and going against the one world website T&C's?).

Im only a silver on QFF btw.

my MP Gold just auto-renewed for another 12mths after zero CX flights during the first 12mth period

I pray that this will happen to me too (already cancelled my AMEX charge card hehe)

As of today, you can now enter the lounge by just flashing the CX card and having QFF number on your boarding pass..

FYI i was able to get my number changed at the J lounge from QFF to CX in order to qualify for lounge entry lol (and going against the one world website T&C's?).

I recently applied for MP Gold through Amex Platinum Concierge - the form had an expiry date of Feb 2013!

Just received MP Gold card y'day (within 2 weeks of applying).

I think MP Gold benefit is ON although the form says that it needs to be lodged before Feb'13 (I think)!

FYI - I had told one of my mates re MP Gold benefit through Amex Platinum Charge card. He also applied couple of days later after I applied and he also received his card last night.

I think I've fair few International trips coming up this year !!

This is what I did when the benefit first came out...

Caused a bit of confusion at the lounge but I just said I wanted to credit the points to QF so that's what was on my BP, but had the CX gold card in my hand and they were ok with that

I called them and they sent me the centurion Marco Polo Diamond paperwork even tthough I have the platinum card. I filed it without pointing out the mistake half wondering if I'd get Diamond status. No, but the gold status did come through. Any clever ideas on how to get the best use out of it?

I'm no longer a Platinum AMEX charge card holder (as of November 2012), but thought it was worth mentioning that I received a brand new Marco Polo Gold card in the mail even after I downgraded to the Edge. I had already taken up the offer for one year, and because I thought MP status wouldn't renew, I was only too happy to cancel my Platinum card after insurance-gate.... To my delight I received renewed membership, without qualifying, as it must have been issued on the cusp of my card cancellation. It's valid through to November 2013. It must mean everyone else will be entitled to renewal also.

Received this week, second renewal of Gold tier membership.
