what did it for me was when trying to get into f lounge. Had an SAA codeshare ticket (qf metal) and travelling with another p1 with QF ticket. they wouldnt let me in and being P1 didnt matter to them.

Next time you may need to book a QF flight if you want the QF benefits?

I personally think they should have used some discretion... It seems that no other airline in Oneworld offers anything additional. Unlike CL where they certainly seem to.

In that particular situation some discretion would be nice...however given the recent rumblings about service levels and reported numbers entering the FLounge in SYD perhaps not.

In any case, the rules are the rules.

agree that was the point, paticularly when travelling with a coleague. Would have gone with a qf ticket if there was one free
