Platinum One yesterday, today, maybe tomorrow

Congrats... It took over a week from memory to hear from them but when I did they were lovely. And each time I've needed them since then they've been great. They even found my glasses I left on a flight!

Qualified for WP1 on Monday arvo (3670 SC all on QF, 9 months into my membership year)

Still no Phone call or update on my profile. Rang QF today & was told the system automatically searches once a week for newby WP1 into their system. So im thinking that search is done on a monday, as i didnt qualify until about 5pm WST Monday & nothing has happened yet.

It takes a little while - I also rang and a lady said it was showig on her system (P1) and should show on my records soon. she stated the info had to go to another section - I'm guessing they have to verify points and arrange for letter and new platinum one card to be issued - I think it took about two weeks - and a week later the wine arrived. I don't think anyone or very few actually received a call. I attained P1 end of June.

Hmm - a little bit at odds here - whether it shows on their system immediately but not on the main records immediately.

When did it show on the BP?

I will hit P1 on a Thursday morning and my next flight is with the family on Sunday so don't expect to benefit then and my next flight is the following Tuesday so should see it by then...

Spoke to QF last week & they had no record on the system of being P1 (that was friday) been a week since qualifying for P1, im sure it will happen this week, hopefuly :)

Congrats Simon - I thought you had given up chasing P1 in favour of accumulating AA miles?

My dalliance with AA was over a while ago. This P1 is a bit of a shock made possible by the double SC promos and an ASA (which I now didnt actually need to take). I think next year I will hit LTG about the same time I hit WP so there is a real question as to whether I credit to AA after that once retained WP.

I have long tossed up whether to allocate to AA as opposed to QF, once achieving WP (have been LTG for many years now, but WP all that time), but then QF introduced P1, so I stayed with that. Will re-qualify for P1 next mth (with a Dec year end), so plenty of spare miles to go, but what with QFi's future plans unclear, I think I'll keep my miles/status with QF in the meantime.

I hit P1 LHR-SIN 20th June had flight from HK-SYd 28th no Plat One on boarding pass but on 30th JuneSYD-BNE was Plat One. 10 days later for me. I guessing your Plat One won't show by tuesday .

No worries - I have enough flights booked in the future for it to show...

Logged in this morning & there it was, my profile had ticked over to P1, love it :p

So it took 8 days to change from WP to WP1, now just gotta sit by the letter box & wait for my new card

Took my first flight as a P1 today & had an Op-up from MEL-ADL, I have read this before, somewhere on AFF people saying first flights after being P1 having an upgrade :p

Love being P1 already
