i think i will use REX. I highly doubt SQ would allow us to use qantas lounge

Unless something has changed recently then yes SQ business pax plus status pax can use the VA lounge. I haven’t heard that this has been stopped

The Plaza Premium Lounge in Adelaide is now open in the afternoon from 4-9pm, on days when SQ276 is operating (this currently departs at 18:35 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays).

I have a Tuesday evening departure on QR next July, so if the SQ flight is on during that season (or if QR actually get it together and engage this lounge) this'll be good.

I think SQ276 is only running for Dec/Jan but then permanently from October next year.
Last I heard was that QR still have no interest in paying the fees but who knows

Interestingly, the lounge is still staying open for 3 more hours after SQ276 boards on the evenings when this flight is running. I wonder why - perhaps they have to pay the staff for a minimum of 5 hours per shift anyway so they find it worthwhile just to stay open?

Yes, staff have to get hours but that does sound promising for a QR tie up hopefully.
With QR not departing until 2200 I wonder if you will get booted at 2100

That flight would typically start boarding at 2115 or so, so doesn't sound too bad.
