Does this mean that the people in this lounge are a better class of person? Or are the signs in the BNE Qantas Lounge there in preparation for the Flyertalk AGM next week.

J Lounge has a better class of slob. Same reason the signs don't exist in the F lounges in SYD/MEL (and eating at tables is encouraged )

I'm pointing out the sillyness of such a rule being only enforced in the Qantas Club, but not the J lounge (Or the F lounges in SYD/MEL).
