HI,

I have 125k KF points available (transfer from Altitude rewards) but can't find non-waitlisted flights for a BNE-BKK J flight in January. Looking at Plan B.
Trying to find out what these points are worth via a points & pay against a $4k airfare. Is there a way to find this out? My account is 0 points until I do the transfer.

Thanks.

Random date in January, fare is $3099 one way. Using points plus pay, 99,862 points (won't let me do 100,00!) reduces the cash component to $2141. So about 0.9 of a cent per point.

Gday

There are BNE- BKK flights available at Saver rates almost everyday from 16th January 2017 onwards.

Pele.

Thanks MEL_traveller, was that the max points you could use against the fare? (Or your balance?) Wierd if you can't use all your points.

Hi Pele, I was trying to get an overnight flight out and there were limited flights on the way back. Need to be back for a SWMBO event which missing is not an option. So I was trying not to rely on a waitlist on SG.

Cheers.

The points go in odd multiples that's all... I guess related to cents. You can't select 'exactly' 100,000, or 'exactly' 50,000 for example. You can use all your balance, but I suspect you'd be better off using a non-saver award or buying a commercial ticket than using points.

Thanks MEL_Traveller, is there any links to booking a waitlist seat and a saver seat but on different days? Is that a call centre transaction rather than on the web?

Cheers
