Points upgrades on Red e-deals kicking in early "A Taste" (Domestic)

Interestingly they sent me an email a few months ago suggesting I upgrade a red e-deal fare as a limited offer. Perhaps they were trialling the current system. Anyone else do that?

These limited offers have happened on and off over the last year.

They must have been successful in getting people to burn points!

Received the same email.

Took an hour on and off to get the site to load.

32,000 points to upgrade birthday surprise for the better half, and me SYD-AKL in July.

Now to wait and see if it's successful.

No email for me but successfully Upgraded an O Class BNE-SYD to J.

Should help take the edge off the overnight Y flight in from SIN ("why fly direct when you can connect").

Not really surprised that QF brought this forward, as school holidays starting very soon, so generally less premium traffic.

This really is a "limited" offer.

It finishes July 1.

After that you need to wait until July 7 to resume for domestic.

My husband didn't get the email (I did) but when he logged in he could still upgrade.

Also, I just got on the site to calculate points required to upgrade economy to Business Perth - Syd and the site said 16k, but when I clicked upgrade this flight the same leg was 32k. I checked and am certain it was just one way, not return...

How many people in the booking?

I got the email back at lunch for SYD-BNE as part of my Seven Deadly Sins Weekend 2011 (which you are all calling the FLounge Run for the Upteenth Time). I couldn't even log in!
In now, just did an upgrade for the flight home. Not sure if I will get it - let's wait and see. I was kinda saving for a JASA to MEL later in the year but what the heck.

Oh and also allowing me to upgrade any flight at the moment. Interesting.

Re: International Red e-deal (N/O/Q) Upgrade Promotion

I did not receive the email for this promotion but I did receive an email "Limited Offer - treat yourself to an upgrade" promotion though.

I believe they are referring to my SYD-BNE flight on Sunday 3 July and have skipped my BNE-SYD flight on 1 July. Either way I am not taking up their kind offer.
