Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

I reckon it'll be gone by Easter at the latest. It seems like the decision has been made, and I think (and hope!) it's only weeks away!

If we can also get rid of mandatory masks, that would be great!

I'd be happy with an either/or situation. Up to date vax cert OR a preflight test.
Turkey has this rule, I think UAE has moved to this.

Fiji, I am looking at you!

That's the main reason I didn't take a quick holidays there when I go away early April. No face masks outdoors I would have visited Singapore. Stupid rule.
We're the same. My wife asks me every now and then if Singapore have stopped being so mean to humans yet, so we can go spend money there again.

Bring it on

"In the very near future the Health Minister will be making some further announcements about things particularly involving pre-testing of flights for those getting on flights to come to Australia.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison said there was a big change to pre-flight testing requirements to be announced soon. That will be an important milestone that’s not too far away from us now.”

FINALLY!!!!! Great news

Well this is a nice turn of events. The NoNames are booked to return from SIN on 17 April…….at 12:45am. :D
We’re booked to return early May, so a reasonable margin for error! 🤣

My trip to MEL on 8 April remains unaffected it seems  Does anyone know if ( notarised) video supervised ARTs are acceptable for pre departure tests?
