I have PP via my Amex Plat charge card and it has been a lifesaver for far flung airports flying EasyJet etc.

Have PP via BOQ specialist ... used it for the first time a couple of days ago in JUL (Juliaca, Peru)

We were the only people in the shoebox they called a lounge. Internet was ok

Really good lounge at MXP, and an outstanding lounge at MAD

I got the PP for free with 2 free visits per year. Used it in Zagreb, better than sharing a toilet with the rest of the travelling throng!!!Highly recomend

In Barcelona? Sala VIP Pau Casals or Sala VIP Miro or Sala VIP Colomer?

In Athens? Swissport Executive Lounge or Skyserv Aristotle Onassis Lounge or Goldair Handling Lounge or Goldair Handling CIP Lounge or Skyserv Melina Mercouri Lounge?

I have posted this before but might be worth repeating - Plaza Premium is opening a lounge in MEL where old United Lounge was - NZ were using this until completion of refurb of their original down the second escalator lounge. The refurbed NZ lounge looks really good.

Plaza Premium Lounge will be welcome addition to MEL which currently has no Priority Pass Lounge at all.

Maybe checkout Lounge Buddy if no one can provide any specific intel, although you probably already know that.

I used the Skyserv Merlina Mercouri Lounge in ATH nine years ago and while OK, I felt it fell far below the standard of QF lounges. TRy another there. My recent experience of a lounge in MAD was good. I have not experienced the lounges you mention in other Spanish ports. Good luck

There are no guarantees it will be a Priority Pass lounge though. Not all of the Plaza Premium lounges are Priority Pass lounges (e.g. Sydney)

When you used your free passes, were any prerequisite steps required, or did you just roll up at the lounge and present your credit card?

For PMI and BCN, it depends on where you are flying to, Schengen or non-Schengen.

For BCN the Colomer is only available to the MAD-BCN shuttle flights. Miro is for non-Schengen and the Pau Casals is for Schengen.

All of the lounges are practically an exact replica of one another

With Priority Pass, you need to present your Priority Pass membership card (or maybe the electronic card, but I haven't actually tried that option)

Main point I hadn't considered, if staying at the Rydges, ducking into the terminal for a free dinner is a great idea.

We actually accessed Formentor as it services D gates. Lounge is quite fine inside - food offerings sparse but sufficient for light bfast.

OMG - few years since been thru ATH - you just forget what a coughking disgrace the whole airport is - lounges actually make sh*ty Chinese lounges look good! It's an interesting world in which we live huh?

Looks like you can now use PP at some restaurants/cafes at BNE airport for a $36 credit.

• Corretto Cafe & Bar, a full-service restaurant located landside of the international terminal (before immigration and security) at the northern side of the 4th floor food court

Seems a little odd (but good for us) to offer this at the international terminal where you can already access the Plaza Premium lounge.
